It is safe to say that I will never fly in
a hot air balloon.
Not if I am in my right mind anyway.
So, I am so thankful that Chelsea, Mom and Georgia
went up for me.
Chelsea's photos give a fair representation
of the beauties to be found
when looking down on Lancaster County.
While I am sure the experience
is way better than
the photos can show...
but I am quite content with this.
The next two photos are of the Sight and Sound Theater.
You realize how big it really is when you see
it from this vantage point.
The pilot of the balloon said that occasionally the
Amish will go up for rides.
They will then look down and discuss the
fields of friends and neighbors.
Who planted thiers straight or who
had a crooked line.
Why did they plant corn in
that field, or whatever.
Kind of amusing....
A farm pond reflects the balloon beautifully.
I think some of the cows might have been a
bit distracted!
And then they had landed!
Creative shot, Chelsea.
Great job!

It has always been interesting to me to see the lay of the land and the patterns. This entire country is a great big old patchwork quilt. Great shots, Chelsea! Just great!
Why aren't you going up, Becky?
Love the pictures! Great job Chelsea! Love the shadow pictures AND the reflection in the pond! I will not ever go up in a balloon either but sure enjoyed seeing it thru Chelsea's eyes:)
Have a blessed day dear Becky! HUGS!
Oh wow. The pictures are so great. Almost makes me want to go up. NOT. This area is so beautiful. The pictures make me love it here more than ever.. Maybe I will put a balloon ride on my bucket list. Ha ha. I wish I was brave!!!
beautiful, thanks for sharing! Chelsea has such a great eye! What kind of camera is she using? :)
Tracy...
Chelsea was using Mikey's cheap point and shoot purchased at Costco...Casio Exelim. It does ok, for the price, but doesn't have great stabilization, IMHO.
I bought a Canon Powershot SX130 IS
when we were on vacation. It is amazing. I highly recommend it. The sunflower photos in the prior post were taken on the Auto setting.

So awesome! That is my favorite thing about flying...looking down and see such beauty!
You really should try it sometime...:)

I've always thought I'd like to go up in a hot air balloon. It almost happened, but weather conditions prevented the flight. These photos are great! (Thank you for visiting my blog today.)
Lovely photos! Tell Chelsea I am thankful she shared, she did a great job on the photos! I think I would be too petrified to look over the edge of the basket to see what was below me (so far below me)- yikes!
Ok, that is seriously beautiful. Now I want to go up even more!
Chelsea, these are great shots!
I just love that landscape up there where you guys live. All the farmland and the perfect rows of corn or whatever (I don't care what the Amish say - looks pretty perfect to me!) Just breathtaking!
Chelsea's photographs are very nice!
I love this post, Becky! Such wonderful photos, and memories!
