Yep! That's what's up here.
How about you?
My friend, Shelley, is coming
to visit again.
I love her.
She lets me be me.
This time she is bringing
one of her daughters.
The one that I used to envision
married to Mikey.
You know how moms
can be when the toddlers are
growing up together.
Aww...wouldn't that be sweet?
All that silliness.
They were both the
same kind
of nuts.
They both got
random massive
nosebleeds.
random massive
nosebleeds.
We haven't spent any quality time with Julie
for years. Shelley has come to visit on her own.
Well...now we get to see how this funny girl
grew up.
I'm looking forward to it.
What I am not really looking forward to is a
funeral tomorrow.
Warren and Mikey's friend, Mike.
A tragedy of a life gone too soon.
But since we know God doesn't make
mistakes and that Mike loved the Lord
I'll just have to get over it.
I'm sure the last thing Mike would want
now would be to return to this fallen world.
Imagine...being in the very presence of
our Lord and Savior.
Sigh.....
One day!!!
The HEAT!!
Killer.
Literally.
Please take care of yourself if you
are in the zone of this extreme
heat and humidity.
We'll be pushing 100 degrees
by Friday.

The pics you posted yesterday are so beautiful! Can't believe how this heat is gripping so much of the USA. It's cooler in Houston where my sister lives. They had rain most of the day yesterday with temps in the 80s. Lucky people, I'm jealous.
Smiles,
Carol
How fun that you mentioned that. I had "funny ideas" like that for both of my kids. It just didn't work out as I had planned for which all four involved can be very grateful. Ha!
That funeral is not going to be easy. I am praying for you all.
Oh my dear friend, it was a tragedy... such a young Man with Jesus now! I am so sorry for the loss of this life but thankful that you all will see him again some day! I will be praying for all of his family! Too sad!
Have a blessed day dear Becky preparing for your visitors! HUGS!
Becky, sending you my thoughts and prayers.
Surely missing you lately.
Barb
Hate to hear about your kids' friend, Becky. Such a tragedy to lose one so young - I know, we've just been through that at our church. I'm glad to know that he is with the Lord.
I hope you have a wonderful time with your friend and her daughter. I still do that - match-make in my mind with my best friend's kids. I've wanted my oldest son to marry her daughter ever since they were little and we babysat and hung out with each other. Sadly, doesn't look like there's a "love connection" there. Sigh...
As for the heat, we've broken our own record for number of consecutive days over 100. We're at 22 and counting... whew...
Becky, had to come back by and thank you for your sweet words of encouragement for my friend Helen who lost her daughter. I'm passing them along to her. I know she'll appreciate it.
Maybe Mikey and Julie will connect now that they are grown up!
I will be praying for tomorrow. Did he leave behind a wife and children? So hard. It's a good reminder that we certainly don't know what tomorrow or the next moment even holds for us.

Hi ya Becky,
Sweetie I am so sorry for your loss of your friend, yet so thankful he is with the Lord.
Prayers will be prayed for your family and his.
Love & Prayers,
Ronda
Maybe the visit with Shelly and Julie will help make the sadness of the funeral a little easier to bear. It is so difficult for those of us left behind to lose someone close to us.
Yes, I agree, this heat is awful! I'm praying for rain and cooler temperatures!
