It went from Calm to Crazy in Just a Couple of Minutes!

On Sunday Chelsea expressed an interest in
going on a mission trip.

Great!
That was a very good thing.

On Monday Mom called and asked if
Chelsea wanted to go with a group
to NYC to see the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.
Sure.
And a friend, or three, were invited too?
Better!

That was nice.
Not a mission trip.
But nice.

A little while later as I was sitting here
calmly submitting
a comment to a blog post
that had moved me
both Moms walked into my living room
and sat down.

This is rare.
Without prior planning to have both
Moms here at the same time...
and sitting as if they planned to stay
a while.

Then Mom began to talk.
She had found an opportunity to take
Chelsea and Mikey on a mission
trip/cruise.
Well that sounded just amazing.
Sure, we were all for it.

And then came the kicker.
They would leave just three days
after graduation.
In approximately three weeks!
Oh, and Chelsea needs a passport!!
Mikey has his because of his mission trip
to El Salvador.

Hold it!!
Three weeks, a passport, two kids,
two grandmas, now I'm thinking about
the anorexia and the flights and the
hotel arrangements and the money and the.......

Long story short.

It appears they are headed to combine a cruise
with a mission trip with tons of Bible teaching,
great music, fun
and opportunity for service.

And they will be in great hands.

God will provide.
I think this could be a trip of a lifetime.

Praying that Chelsea's passport
comes in time!!!

I'll be ok.
Really.
Once I have them safely
home again.

Wow, that sounds wonderful!! I pray everythings comes together. What a blessing for them to be able to do a cruise and it all be centered around the Lord!

Whew. WOW! That's a lot to digest all at once, but when God opens a door you have to walk through it with faith!

No doubt they will have a truly blessed time, I always regret never having gone on a mission trip

Oh that is a lot to consider. I'm sure that Chelsea and Mike are not considering scampering away from their grandmothers so that will be a bonus. It truly sounds like a wonderful opportunity for them all. (Say, any chance of your heading off for a little adventure with your darling hubby for a week or two? Even a weekend? Sometimes opportunities just line up beautifully. God is good.)

Wow, what an opportunity for Mikey and Chelsea! I didn't notice the location of this mission trip/cruise or its duration.
