takes this song places the writer
most likely never imagined.

Color and Rain Come to the Garden
T.I.R.E.D.

T - Totally loving helping Mikey with his landscaping jobs.
We worked in the rain on two jobs yesterday then met with
two new clients. What very nice people!
I- Irritated at the appliances in my life!
The dryer quit just in time for this long stretch of rain!
I need to get laundry done or my family isn't going to look
or smell very lovely. The refrigerator is freezing everything.
The dishwasher falls apart every time we try to load or unload.
Arrgghh....
R- Reading has slowed down a bit over the past couple of
weeks. I must get the Give-a-way books in the mail!
I will, really. Hang in with me!
E- Educating the kids is still at work. Evaluations happen
for two kiddos next week. I must get those portfolios together!
D- Driving with the boys is fun even if it is a bit nervewracking.
Mikey really needs to get his license before the end of the month!
So that is a little peek into what is happening here.

Mikey and Me
The word has gotten out!
Mikey is swamped with landscape
opportunities...he will work for
three separate people tomorrow.
Today we were preparing for this
and went to Groff's Plant Farm
to purchase the perennials and
annuals needed.
I took my camera and carried it over
the entire place as we studied and
debated the best plants for the
budget allotted.
This was the first picture I took
there today...at the checkout!

I mean, there we were with acres and acres
of plants, greenhouses and amazing shrubs.
I took a picture of KITTENS!
I must be crazy.
Oh well, we got what we went after
and the kittens were a nice little
diversion as we were paying the bill.
I did feel so bad about not getting
any other photos of the greenhouses
that I snapped this as we got back in
our van. It shows only a
fraction of what makes up
this awesome plant farm.

Things are more than a
little bit crazy here these
days...but things are going
to calm down soon....
I think.
Have a wonderful Thursday.
I'll be back here shortly.

Great Light!
This is an Outdoor Wednesday Post.
Visit Susan at A Southern Daydreamer
for more Outdoor Wednesday Posts.
Only since starting this blog
have I discovered a love of
photography.
The first many posts on this
blog were wordy...
I guess I began with many
thoughts to share...
You know all "That Wisdom"!
LOL
But, as time has gone on the
photography side of it has
seriously grown on me.
Saturday as we were at Hershey
Park, you can see photos here,
a time of day came when I could
not help but pull out the camera
since there was a very special
"light" atmosphere.
What once would have meant nothing
now was incredibly compelling.

The sun hitting this tree was
beautiful. I am sure there are
those sitting nearby wondering
what wonderful bird I was trying
to photograph, but alas, it was
just the wonder of the sunlight
featuring the bark and leaves.

This new love has brought a former
indoor person outside. It has opened
up a whole new world.
Fun!
What has blogging changed in your
life? Has it been positive?
Do you take kidding from friends
and relatives?
I do!
But I don't care!
It has enriched my life
by way of a creative outlet
and a new world of friendships!

I Will Rejoice!
In times of struggle and
stress it is so easy to
lose focus and begin to
see only the challenges
which face us.
This has been a struggle
over the past two weeks.
Rather than keeping the
joy of Jesus I have been
guilty of feeling sick to
my stomach from the stresses
of hurting relationships.
While it is normal for
things to come up between
friends it seems that nearly
every relationship we cherish
has been challenged lately.
Even one of Chelsea's
long-time very dear
friends has gone MIA
from her life.
It all hurts...a lot!
However, we must focus on the
One who is our Best Friend.
The One who is closer than a
brother. Seeking His will.
Being obedient to Him.
But even through the hard times
we are rejoicing in the ways we
see the Lord at work in lives,
ours and our children.
Yes, I WILL REJOICE!
God is worthy of our Praise.
None of these things are a
surprise to Him.
All of the things from the
past two weeks will be for
our benefit and His Glory.
Lord, keep us focused on YOU.
May we grow in love and grace.
Help our children to learn
about friendship and love.
May they find comfort in
Your peace. Please be at
work in our lives to smooth
out our rough edges and make
us who You want us to be.
In Jesus Name,
Amen.

Blues at the Amusement Park
A Blue Monday Post...
A Party hosted by
Sally at
Smiling Sally Blog!
Saturday was a much awaited
day at our house. The kids
had been planning and looking
forward to going to Hershey
Park for several weeks. We
hoped and prayed for good weather
as our tickets were special event
tickets and were only good for
that day. So, illness or rain were
potential spoilers.
Thankfully, we awoke to a very lovely
day and everyone felt well enough to
go.
As I posted on Saturday before we left,
I am not a "rider", so as I sat waiting
at each ride the different signs caught
my eye. There is so much blue at Hershey
Park!

I also noticed how great the roller coasters looked against the sky.

The swings were so graceful and called out
to our group. I snapped these as our guys
waited in line.

The park is full of roses.
I loved the way the sun shone
on the roses and the railing here.

The moon was shining brightly when the group was riding
The Great Bear. If you click on this picture you can see
the details on the moon.

I loved this clock.
Warren's Grandfather was a jeweler and
worked on clocks. There are some neat
ones in the family and so they catch
my eye when we are out.

This was such a fun day.
Thanks for stopping by to see
the fun Amusement Park Blues!
