Dedicated to Lee - A Walking Miracle!

For the past four years our cousin,
Lee, has suffered from undiagnosed
pain in her feet.



This was debilitating
pain that felt as if her feet were on
fire all of the time.
Many doctors had given her their
thoughts on what was causing it.
She had endured painful surgery.



But, the pain was driving
Lee into a wheelchair.
She had no hope of
ever getting relief.



In fact, she had been
told there was nothing more
that could be done.




In September of 2008 through a series of
events that could only be explained as
led by the Lord, Lee was made aware of
one more doctor. He believed that he
would be able to help her.



She and Tim had endured many times
of raised hopes...
this would be just one more,
they were afraid.

Unbelievably though, an ultrasound of
Lee's feet showed large tumors in her
heels. Shots of Vitamin B12 were the cure.

One day Lee woke up...no more pain.
She felt the carpet under her feet for
the first time in four years.

Since September Lee has been relearning
to walk. After years of accommodating the
pain and then not walking her body had to
relearn how to walk properly.



We rejoiced in the fact that we could
walk all over the park. Lee could ride the rides
again and a wonderful time was had by all.

We were undecided as to what to do for lunch since we were in the park for the entire day. The conductor on the train spoke very positively of the Crown Restaurant and said that the prices were reasonable. We wondered what that meant in the economy of the park.

Well, we decided to look and see.
Boy, were we glad we did.
In a place where you cannot get a bottle of
water for less than $2.69 this was a very
pleasant surprise.



We enjoyed a private room and a family style meal
that included fish, fried chicken, cole slaw, rolls, mashed potatoes, french fries, and homemade stuffing for $14.95 per person.
I know that is not exactly cheap...but for our
one and only meal of the day...it was a pleasant surprise.


When Chelsea posts, she wants to show you the Sheikra.
It is a very, very tall and intimidating rollercoaster.
She and Lee felt they had accomplished much, for different
reasons after riding this. It was scary!

We are off to Orlando for the remainder of our trip.
The boys are ready to come home.
Hope that changes or it will be a long week.

Moving Day!

Today we move our church!
We will be so happy to get our
things out of storage and set up
permanently. I have missed our
piano...so much! It won't be at the
building until at least June 6th but
just knowing that it is coming makes
my week!

To be able to get all of the church's
office equipment out of my office and
over to that one makes me happy. I love
the ease of having it here but it takes up
a lot of space!

I won't be able to lift and tug at stuff
since I am still healing from the surgery,
but I am an excellent administrator and can tell
everyone "Where to go...". LOL

We are combining our move with a fundraiser
for a friend, from another church,
and purchasing our dinner from
his Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for a missions
trip to Africa. Kind of cool when these things
can work out. He gets to feed 20 and the women
of the church won't be making and hauling
food in crockpots, etc.

Can you tell,
I am beside myself with excitement?

This is an absolute miracle!

God is so good!

I have also been working on the web site
for the church and am quite pleased.

It should be ready to put online this week.

Also, a very good thing!

Believing For a Miracle

The church saga continues.

We have been praying specifically for a
building which is situated in a very nice
location and which we know has been sitting
empty for the past two years.

I had contacted who I thought was the owner
only to be told he had been leasing the
building for the past ten years.

He strongly suggested I talk to the owner of
the building, which I did.

At that point this man had things stored in this
space and was not interested in renting it out.

Months passed. Many months.

Over those months,
we have been through so much as a church.

We have left the denomination
the church had been founded under.
We have a new name.
New bylaws have been written.
The incorporation papers are on their way
to the necessary agencies.
We have a vision of where we believe the
Lord is taking us. To fill the need for
an Family Integrated Church in the Mid to Southern
Lancaster County Area.
Our web site is coming along.
Those who could not make this leap with us
have moved on.

It has been hard.
Very hard.

We wanted to give up many times.

But now, there is a renewed hope.

I knew that it should not be me to
go back to request to see the building
again. Sometimes you just "know" these things.
I asked that one of the men be
responsible to make that contact.

Our Pastor took on the challenge.

God's timing was apparent.

The owner of the building had just cleared
everything out of the space and was preparing
it for rent...He and our Pastor went together
last week. Mike came back so excited.

We discussed the retail value of the space.
I figured easily this man could ask $2,000 to $2,500
and be well within reason. It is a very large space!

Those who were available went last evening to look.

We met the owner. A very nice gentleman.

After much discussion about what we would do
with each of the many areas in the building,
Mike brought up the subject of money.
We were told that the former tenants had paid
$2,500 month. Just what I thought.
We have 30 people on a good Sunday and none
of us are wealthy. With a full time Pastor this
is just more than we can afford on our own!

Pastor Mike, Warren and the owner of the building all
disappeared into a quiet section of the building.
The rest of us prayed.

This man's offer to us...$1,000 per month and he
will help get the building "church ready".

Is God good, or what?!??

I don't know if this is going to be the solution.
I certainly have not seen anything nearly as suitable
or possible...in the year or more that we have been looking.

Please pray with us.

We truly want to be a church with a purpose.
Reaching out and growing in this community.
