Today promises to be a busy one.
Jonathan has an MRI this morning
and then Chelsea goes to the dentist
this afternoon.
We are in the season of Dentist
and Doctor appointments.
They all come around at once.
Yes, I finally convinced them to
do an MRI. They found a "knot"
in his leg that may just be his
hamstring but after eighteen sessions
of Physical Therapy he was not improving
enough so we are going to take a look.
I'll be carrying my book club book along
and trying to make headway in it while in
the waiting rooms.
We are reading Sisterchicks in Sombreros
by Robin Jones Gunn. It is good, so
far...but Chelsea is actually farther along
in the book than I am. She is planning
to join us this month.
How fun is that!?
Tonight it is my turn to host the
family dinner with Pastor Mike and the Moms.
I am going to make stromboli with everyone
using their own fillers. Last week I
tried this making our own stromboli dough...
it was fabulous!
Mrs. Rabe can attest to my second try.
She and Mr. Rabe were here. We had no meat
for fillings so I
stuffed them full of cheese and then it
baked out and all over the oven making a cloud
of smoke. I guess with having an audience I
rushed the process just a bit.
However, the first time I tried it
last week they were wonderful.
It is a work in progress.
Funny thing is, I made them the second time because
that was the evening Warren and I had enjoyed a date
night. We got home and I totally forgot the kids
weren't happily full and by the time I remembered...
ahem...they mentioned it...they were really hungry.
I was attempting to make something I knew they would
enjoy...Thank goodness it is warming up so I could
open the windows and let the smoke out.
So, after the test run, we are going for it
again. This is one of the few meals I have made
that my Mikey actually enjoyed.
Really enjoyed.
Picky boy that he is.
I am just thankful that he has gotten over
not eating most things and at least is civil
about it.
He could hurt a Momma's feelings
sometimes.
We have talked about this.
There is progress.
Sorry for the boring post,
but life is just very real
these days.
Keeping busy.
By the way, thanks for all of the fun
comments on yesterday's post. It felt
like you were right here and we were just
having a great conversation.
You are a real blessing!
