Easter Blues

Easter Sunday we met at a local
park for a SONrise Service.
Since we met a full hour after
sunrise it hardly qualified as
a Sunrise Service.

However, someone forgot to send
me a memo about the dress code!

Just look!

The Baby's coat is trimmed in
blue...her pants are blue
and Caleb's coat is blue.

I wore burgundy...
But both Grandmas were in
blue...
Denny and Mikey got in on
the blue theme with their jeans...

How, oh how
did I miss the memo?
I look so good in that color!

You can tell that Jonathan is feeling a
bit left out too.
Man, he doesn't even own blue...
well except for that new suit.
What was he thinking?
Oh, I know the Formal is coming
and he wants the suit to be clean and ready...
So...no blue for him.

Adorable Sarah is feeling
tired but confident in red.
She is a very independent one.

The scheme was so devious that
they even dressed little Noah
in their color code.
Just look....
right there by the girls.
Those innocent looking girls.
Don't believe it for a second.
Anyone who would do this to their
mother (or friend) on Easter!
Yikes!

I'll be on my guard next
year! You can believe it!!
I'll be monitoring your emails
girls, whatever color you wear...
I'm wearing............

BLUE!

Becky...you really have me giggling over here. It must have been a conspiracy to leave you out of the color coded loop! Your family is just lovely. You really made me smile this morning...thank you.

I didn't get the memo either! I wore pink, as did Sarah under that cute coat. But Emily must have whispered it to Kyle because he wore a blue shirt! Hmmmmm, I do sense a conspiracy!

Oh Becky Sweetie...
I was just giggling away this morning. You wore burgandy because you did not want to be "BLUE" on Easter, it was a Happy Time, a celebration. Ha! Ha! Ha! They only thought they had you fooled didn't they?

You look beautiful. What a pretty place to have a service. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing with me.

Well I leave on Friday morning for Maryland. I can't wait to see Marydon. A beautiful tea on Saturday and then a week with my Best Friend. What fun to be in your neck of the woods. I can't wait to see the beautiful scenery and history that awaits me there.

Counry hugs sweetie and much love, Sherry

Love the SonRise Services, Becky. Burgandy is okay amongst the blue - hey it might be boring if everyone was the same. We had a church baby shower Sunday afternoon and there must have been a memo for everyone to wear a springy black/white. Thank goodness I must have gotten the memo! There were some there that actually had on COLORS! Can you believe it! I think they were just trying to stand out or something! ^_^

Such a cute post! All that blue is great, but the burgundy is very pretty, too. And it's always good to stand out from the crowd, right?

Hi Becky, It looks like it was a tad chilly Easter morning, but the service and friendly faces were warm. Happy Blue Monday.

Is there anything wrong with burgundy? Very sedate, mature color. Were you feeling sedate and mature? :D The moms were looking especially lovely on Easter as was everyone else.

There have been a good many times when I worked that several of us would wear the same colors. The one or two left out would say they didn't get the memo.

That's ok Becky!! I didn't wear my new stuff until yesterday. Purple skirt and light purple t. So I missed it by a week!

Lol, too funny. I loved all the photos though, even if you did miss the memo :-) Thanks so much for your sweet comments on my anniversary post, and tell your friend that his ministry in jails does make a difference. People who know Russ now, find it hard to believe he was ever that man. The power of God to change a person is miraculous. I'm so thankful that He changed my heart too.
Blessings,
Marcia
