Here we are
closing out a year that has
held many crazy events.
From hurricanes and floods
to earthquakes and tornadoes.
There has been history made
all around the globe
with the rise and fall of nations.
With the impending start of a new
year it feels like a chance to begin again.
I'm not a big proponent of the
New Year's Resolution....
however, I think this year
I'll make one.
You see, this morning I was
starting to type on a listing for my
Etsy shop.
It was jibberish.
The letters didn't go together
at all.
I had positioned my hands over by one
letter from the correct
starting point.
What a difference.
So, my resolution for the start of
2012 is to begin at the right
starting point.
I'd rather not have a year filled
with jibberish.
My goal will be to
keep my eyes fixed upon Jesus.
Seeking His will for decisions
I make.
To remember that those things that
I may think are wise are not
unless He opens the doors and
leads me through.
One doesn't have to be far off
the proper starting point
to create chaos....
but starting in Him....
and staying in Him....
will lead to the proper resolution.
This year may not be all fun and games.
But it will make a whole lot more
sense if
we start in the right place.
Personally,
I'd love tons of fun too.
Because that is just the kind of
gal I tend to be.
Laughter and fun...
all the way!!
I'm wishing you a year that
allows you to sigh in complete
contentment one year from today.
For a year well lived.
Hugs.

I'm not a resolution maker either but I like yours for this year.
Great post!
Happy New Year!
BTW-Your Cola candle looks so cool!
Love the "fizz" it appears to have-and the ice cubes. Very cute for a soda addict gift.
I'm with you on this one!
Yes, yes, yes!
We need the right starting point, the right source for guidance!
Enjoy your time tonight! I think fun and laughter are on tap for you!

Very well said Becky. I start each new year on my knees, a type of first fruits. Sometimes I have to set the alarm (:
Thank you for consistently showing the nature of Christ in your life, your posts, and your comments. Happy New Year to you and your family. xo

Happy New Year to you too, Becky, and one of my goals for this year is to find a way to get together again with you. I so enjoyed our last outing...Years ago? Oh it can't be that long!!! It has to go on my priority list for the New Year!
Dear Becky,
Happy New Year to you and your family my friend! What a lovely post! Honey and I were on our knees as yet another new year came in. Thankful and touching and agreeing to seek our Saviour's face even the more.
Like you, I too am a girl who is both serious and fun, loving to laugh always looking on the bright side of things. Things that are good, lovely and of a wonderful report.
I have a feeling 2012 will bring with it many woes, but in Him...the best is yet to come!
Smiles♥

Nice post! I, too, am looking to our Lord for guidance this year. You can read more on my blog before the end of the day, I hope, or at the latest, tomorrow.
