Chomping at the Bit!!!!

Georgia is out of the hospital!
Hip! Hip! Hooray!

I cannot go over to see her.
Boo-hoo!

This flu has got to be one of the worst ones
this area has seen in years.
I have heard of several deaths in
Lancaster County alone.
One precious three year old boy
and a 40 year old woman come to
mind right away.
Many people from our local Retirement
Community are in the
Hospital with it.

It would be a very bad thing if
Georgia were to get this.

SO...I can only be glad to know that
she is there and wait here for the
fever, aching and dripping to stop.

Bless my Mom's heart...
she went and brought Georgia home
then went and got groceries for her.

The only reason Mom could do this is
that she has been on an antibiotic
for a while now.
She still has a horrible cough
and gets so tired.

Tomorrow I will have another ultrasound
to look at the cyst.
I saw the specialist this morning because
this stupid thing kept me awake through
a lot of last night.

Most likely the main problem is scar tissue
from the massive post-op
infection and subsequent
surgery two years ago.
Not sure what I'll do if that is the case.

Oh well, I am home, sick and bored...
hence I am blabbing on and on.

Chelsea has joined in the flu party.
Every once in a while she pops into
my room and just stares...with really
sad eyes.
Poor baby.
I know how she feels.

So.. then...you wanted to know
what we are having for dinner?

Oh, no, that was my family that requested
that information...Ha!

We are having a rice and ground beef casserole
and a nice tossed salad.

Simple and comfort all at the same time.

Then there is the fact that I have
ground beef in the fridge to use up.

Aren't you glad you popped in to get
all of this useless info?

I am...

Don't give up on me...

I'll get back to taking pretty pictures and
writing funny adventure posts soon...
Maybe some financial thoughts here and there...
Certainly Praise and Adoration of our Creator.

Speaking of dinner...it's hard to keep taking care of the family when you feel so horrible. I guess i'm lucky tonight my husband is going to the bible study and they'll have food there! So it's just Elijah and me here... a good night for oatmeal? =)
Yes, we've had some severe weather alerts today. A tornado watch is in effect until later this evening. Those clouds outside didn't look too friendly earlier on.
I hope you feel better as well. I'm glad your mominlaw is out of the hospital and home.

I'm sorry to hear of all the illness over there!! I just got over a bad cough/cold and only one of the family got the flu, so we count ourselves lucky! I heard that Pennsylvania was one of the five top states that suffered with the flu this year. You cracked me up with your comment today!!! That's exactly how i feel!! I'm not really too bad-- coffee just gets me off to a running start. I didn't say that if Craig isn't around to make it, I do actually skip it! Now I'm thinking I should have given it up for Lent! So, sending my prayers for health for your whole family!!!
