A Colorful Dinner and Colorful Sky

Last evening we enjoyed a family dinner
at Miller's Smorgasbord to celebrate my
husband's birthday.
We had coupons which allowed us
to pay half price.....
making us quite happy!

Then we came home and gave Warren
his birthday gift....
a combined effort primarily funded by
the Moms.
It is a Keurig Coffee Maker.
This led to cups of coffee at 10 pm.
Which in turn led to some of us being up until
12:30 am.
Yikes!!

And yet, here I am.
6:21 am and I've been up since
5:45 am.
I'm no fortune teller but I foresee an
early bed time or a nap in my future.

Night before last was quite colorful around here.
Chelsea had requested
kebobs.
So while we were out getting Warren's
birthday gift we also picked up a
fresh pineapple.
We already had chicken, green pepper, onions
and cherry tomatoes.
Served on a bed of seasoned rice this
made a perfect light Summer meal.
In the interest of full disclosure...
this is NOT my plate.
I detest cantaloupe!
lol

But Warren just happens to love it
and this was a very good one,
or so he says.

Then to continue the theme of colorful
things that evening....
I was sitting on the sofa with my back to the
window when there was a distinct change
in the color of light coming in my window.

When I turned to look I knew I had to
get the camera.

I enjoyed that end of the day
golden glow while it lasted.

Have you enjoyed a sunset lately?

Only the ones I see in blogs like yours. Down here in the holler, our best sunsets are in March when we can see them through the trees.

Very colorful meal...I used to despise cantaloupe myself; now I love it. Taste buds definitely change over time.

Happy birthday to Warren!

YUMMY cantelope and kebobs:) Love them both! What a fun Birthday dinner AND with a coupon... gotta love that!

My night sky was so beautiful too! I didn't have my camera to catch just how beautiful it was but did snag a picture with my phone:)

Have a blessed day my friend, HUGS!

Ah...nothing more beautiful than a Pennsylvania sky! ;o) Happy Birthday belated to your dear husband. And a great gift that coffee maker. My Dad has on and love it. Wonderful, healthy kebabs. We must do something like those, fire up the grill...mmm... You know, I used to hate cantaloupe when I was younger, the smell I think put me off. But have learned to like it now as I grow older. Just hold your nose. ;o) LOL... Happy Weekend to you all ((HUGS))

Oh I miss Sunsets at home, for some reason they just aren't as pretty here in IL. Maybe CA will have better vistas.

Now here we differ dear cousin. I literally couldn't eat enough Cantaloupe. I love the stuff!

We don't see as many sunsets as you do being down in "the gulley" as Lindsay says!

I am a huge fan of cantaloupe especially if it is a 'good' one!

Happy Birthday to Warren - he's alright! :)

Hello from Lancaster County! I found your blog through Theresa. I have been blogging for just over a year. I always wanted to blog but didn't have the time when I was working. I now take care of 2 of my Grands and am having the time of my life!

I love finding people who live in my state and even better, when they live in the same county!

Please stop by to vist me anytime. I confess, I'm a bit crazy for my family (just like Theresa) and post lots of pictures =)

Lovely sunset photos. Unfortunately, we are in a bit of a valley and don't see as many sunsets as I would like to.

Lovely photographs of a gorgeous sunset! Bob and I enjoy on a daily basis the Keurig coffee maker that I gave him for Christmas. If you decide to buy a refillable K-cup, Bob prefers the Solofill cup over the one that Keurig sells.
