Taking Inventory....

Since Chelsea is in the process
of completing two years in one
so that she can graduate in May
it is of some benefit to do regular
inventory on the process.

Yesterday was one of those days.

We took the list of required items
and checked off
what is done....

A LOT!

There is plenty left to keep her
busy until the end of the year.
Definitely a challenge.
But Chelsea, like me, does
best when challenged.

What seems strange to me is
that she needs me for
so little of it.

This is probably a good thing
since she does so much
of it late in the evening.
My brain is sludge by then.

Mornings and late nights are
prime work time for
Chelsea.
An afternoon that isn't filled with other
activities is seen as an opportunity to create a recipe
for dinner.  Last night we were
treated to chicken breasts
stuffed with rice, broccoli and cheddar cheese.
But they were only stuffed
after she had marinated them in
lemon basil sauce of her own making.
Oh, it was so good.
She lightly breaded them and shook a bit of
Parmesan on the tops before baking.
Yum!
So, I'm thinking, her afternoons should be left open
in the weeks and months to come.
It works so well for me!

What have you taken inventory of...
lately?

Has she considered writing a cookbook?

I'm grinning, too. How wonderful to be treated to such things. Is Chelsea going to a culinary school?

(My darling daughter, much older than your darling daughter, recently made us chicken and it was all we could do to get it down. Oh how we laughed. Then we ate cereal for supper. Seems she went a bit overboard on the salt.)

You got your daughter in the kitchen without force?! And it tasted great?! You are a lucky lady :)

Many things. I've been organizing drawers and closets, cupboards and notions but most of all I take daily inventory of my life.

Kudos to your daughter, she'll be a better woman for it!!!

God bless and have a glorious day sweetie!!!

Hi Becky, Funny thing about teens...they have so much energy at night. My kids are the same. Inventory has mostly been going on around our house in a different way. I am trying to clear some clutter and my head at the same time. Hoping that an early Spring cleaning will bring on some better weather.

Thanks for your challenging post...food for thought. Blessings.

I love Chelsea's courage to try her own ideas when it comes to cooking and baking. I do a little more of that now than I used to, but I'm always afraid of creating something no one will like, and I don't want to be wasteful. It's also so wonderful that she just seems to know what things will taste good together because her creations are always a hit. That girl has tremendous talent -- she's a real "Ratatouille"!
