Today is the appointed day.
Chelsea's room is in the process of change.
She loved her purple room just a year or so
ago...but now wants a more sophisticated look.
So.... rich chocolate brown and tan walls will
be her cocoon. Accents in a deep rich orange
will be her first color choice.
Later she will change the accents to other
complimentary colors as the seasons change.
Fun!

Can't wait to see Chelsea's new room. I remember when my daughter decided how she was going to decorate her room. Kind of a bittersweet moment for me. Since then, I've had no say so about her decor! lol
My girls are anxiously awaiting pictures of the finished product!
A couple days ago I overheard Allison telling Julianne "Never again." I questioned what she was talking about and she said "I am never painting my room, ever again!" Apparently it was a lot more work than she had realized it would be? We'll see if she means it...although at the time I think I said something like they'd better love their choices because I was never *letting* them paint again. Perhaps time will dull the memory for both of us and she'll eventually re-paint... ;-)
Can't wait to see the new look!
The colors she picked will be so great! Looking forward to seeing pictures of the new look!
Smiles,
Carol
Angel wants a new look too. Can't wait to see the before and after photos.
All you painting people may inspire me yet!
Sounds like a wonderful and soothing color scheme to me. Baby girl is growing up!
Happy Tuesday, Becky!
Barb ♥
She's growing up, Mom. I remember when my daughter wanted to decorate HER way. Sigh... I still love her pink/cream lacy room when she was little....
Your puppies are so cute staring out the window. Doncha just wanna know what they're thinkin' sometimes? Might surprise us!
Looking forward to seeing pics of Chelsea's room!
That sounds very pretty!
I think it will be very nice when it is finished! It is a grown up choice...and a nice one.
Emily was excited to put the last coat of paint on her bathroom this morning, watch a history dvd and drive herself over to help Chelsea. They will do a fine job!
Can't wait to see it!
I have a chocolate brown wall in both my dining room and my bedroom, LOVE IT! It looks so sophisticated and is so easy and fun to accessorize -- almost every color pops next to it. She'll love it!
Your daughter must like drama--from purple to chocolate brown! I can't wait to see the transformation! Sorry for not stopping by more often; I've missed a lot I see. Maurie
wonderful! Cannot wait to see the new room!
My stepdaughter's bedroom was purple for a time.
Hello Becky, haven't forgotten my favorite bloggers, I have been in Florida for two weeks all together. Christmas week and a week in January. Lot of busy times at Christmas and our grandson's wedding this past weekend. It is good to be back and catching up. I posted our grandson's wedding today. It was a wonderful event with lots of our loving family present.
The new colors sound wonderful. A new decorating project always perks me up. Have fun, I can't wait to see what you do.
I love your dog post and I see you have lots of snow too. We are snowed in and it is still snowing. It is pretty but our pup Cheri' is still wondering what is happening. smile.
Happy New Year with warm hugs, Jeanne
