Last week Mom, Chelsea and I took a day
to visit Winterthur.
On our way there we
passed Longwood Gardens
and all moaned at
how hard it is to keep going
past one of
our very favorite places.
Having said that, we were ever so glad
we did go to Winterthur as it was stunning.
But, there was time on the way home to just
take a peek at what was in bloom at Longwood.
Now you can too!
This tree that looks so red
from a distance...
...was fascinating to us in that
when you get closer the leaves are
actually kind of coppery.
The tulips were visible from far across the
gardens as their color beckoned us to come
and see them!
Don't you just want to go out and put in about
a thousand tulip bulbs this Fall?
Good Grief!
And I still have the Wisteria Garden to show you.
Well, that will have to be saved for another day.
Thanks for stopping by.
You are simply...
THE BEST!
OH! And a reminder!
We are having a Bloggy Meet at Longwood
Gardens on a Saturday in June.
Please let me know if you are interested in
knowing the details.
We would love, love, love to
meet you!

Breathtaking tulips! Our tulips didn't last long because of the strong winds we had day after day.
Thanks for sharing.
Smiles,
Carol :)

Wow! what beautiful tulips! You took some VERY nice pics....thank you so much for sharing - I just love pretty flowers.
Oh, Longwood is looking sooo LOVELY just now! Oh, but it's a pity your meet-up is in June... :o( We'll be in PA next week... LOL! Maybe we'll get out that way, I'd love to, been years since I've seen Longwood in her spring/summer glory. Thanks for the cheers on the quilt, Becky. It was a real labor of love, and I can't wait to quilt more! :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
Beautiful color tree, and the tulips are absolutely incredible to see.
I love tulips, I wish I could have all of those flowers in my garden. Thanks for sharing. Denise
Oh, so pretty, Becky. I love, love that tree!!!
Barb ♥
All those tulips .. wow! The tulips are all so beautiful. Please keep me informed of when the blogger meet will happen. I'm not promising anything, but I could possibly make it.
Becky - HI!
Beautiful gardens! The tulips are gorgeous - mine did not come up this year. It was extraordinarily cold with a late snow this year. For some reason they just leafed out but no blooms. Maybe I don't know how to grow tulips!!!
Thanks for the photos tho - I can dream of tulips next year!
What beautiful flowers. That tree is gorgeous. I love the white tulips!
What a gorgeous place. I would love it.
Hope your MIL does ok with the Echo..
I'd love to come to your Bloggee meet
but I just can't travel right now.
Hugs!!
Oh so beautiful! I see why you moaned as you went by, I would too.
What a gorgeous post! By the way, I was working on my post and added some things about striving for a meek and quiet spirit when I noticed that you had commented on my unimproved post! Does that make sense? Thanks for your kindness to me always!
Have a wonderful day!
Beth
