Last evening we had severe thunderstorms.
As they were wrapping up Chelsea
came to me and said that these words
had just come to her.
There's something about this storm,
that I can not ignore.
This is not the norm,
this is something more.
There's electric in the sky,
there's water on the ground.
There's thunder in the air,
it's beauty all around.
It's like a song
that's playing in my head.
It's like a strong command
that God has clearly said.
Electric beauty
What an incredible sight.
It is still the daytime,
but yet it's dark like night.
It is a symphony
beautifully composed.
it is truly wonder
fantastically exposed.
I am so thankful for the gift of words that
Chelsea has inherited from her Granddad.

That is lovely! I've always admired those who can write poetry. Has she done the rhyme scheme? It's pretty interesting. :D
I especially like the phrase "electric beauty."
Wow, awesome poem! She has a real gift!

Vee,
We have studied poetry here at home and she took a course at our co-op that was very good.
The term "electric beauty" certainly fit the storm we watched last night.
So happy we were safely at home.
Funny thing is that soon after the storms were done the sun came out and our home was FILLED with friends for Bible Study.
