Finally, I decided to just pick a
date for our Longwood Blogger Meet.
I do hope I didn't choose poorly.
We will meet on Saturday, June 12th.
The official time will be from 9am - Noon.
Some may wish to go for lunch after this
but we can take it as it comes.
If you are coming I would like to know
so that we don't head into the gardens
without you. It is a very large garden...
more than 1,000 acres, so it could be a
challenge to find us if we don't meet first.
I'll also need to give you our meeting place.
Last time we didn't do this and there was a
bit of guessing about who we were looking for.
Funny, but avoidable.
Just send me an email at
beckypfa (@) yahoo (dot) com.
By the way...husbands and children are
very welcome to join us.
One of the facts about the history
of Longwood is that Mr. Pierre DuPont was overjoyed
to see children playing and enjoying his gardens.
I always think of that when I see little ones with
great big eyes taking it all in.

Now, would you like to see the Wisteria Garden?
It was amazing. I nearly choked with excitement
when I saw it. Literally!
We were looking down over this
and I was chatting
happily away with Mom and Chelsea.
Then I noticed the wisteria off to my left.
I inhaled and promptly coughed and coughed.
When Mikey looked at these pictures he was very pleased.
Turns out that last summer during his internship he spent
days in here pruning. This is the result of his labor.
Beautiful full Wisteria blooms.
This is why we love gardening so.
Hard work results in amazing vistas.
While the Wisteria will be done,
there will be lots of roses and
many other treats for the eyes.
I do hope you will be able to join us on
the 12th of June!
You can check out the Longwood Garden's website
for any information regarding ticket price and
directions. www.longwoodgardens.org
Hope to see you there!

I wish I could make it, but I'll be far, far away.
Oh, I wish we could be there then...darn! LOL! But I relish seeing the wisteria now in your photos, Becky. Longwood is a wonder of PA :o) Happy Weekend to you all ((HUGS))
Lovely! I wished I lived close enough to come!
Love the wisteria...mine is in the bud stage!
Hi, Becky, I think it's great that you are doing a blogger meetup. You'll have so much fun with that. Oh, the wisteria is beautiful. We have plenty of it around here too.
As always, wish that I could pop on down. I'd probably choke over the wisteria, too. You are taking some mighty fine photographs these days! I've been visiting all the posts that I've missed.
What a gorgeous setting, Becky; how I wish that I lived close enough to attend.

Truly a remarkable post today. All your photos are beautifully done and the young lady is so pretty. Sorry, I will not be able to join you and friends in June. A little too far away.
Don't know yet if I can make that date. My granddaughter is due on the 10th...so I may need to be flexible!
I plan on coming if all goes well!
I put the date on my calendar. I'd love to meet fellow bloggers from the area, since I'm new. By the way, all of you are welcome to visit my site: graciousinteriors.blogspot.com
