Good-bye Senator Specter

Once upon a time there was a
well intentioned man. He was
elected to serve the people.
For a very long time this man
did what he thought best....for the people.

As the years went by this man
became used to a different way
of thinking. It differed from
the people who had elected him.
That didn't stop him.
He continued doing what he thought
was best...for him.

The people have spoken.

They want their seat back.

Good-bye, Mr. Specter.

I pray this kind of fresh wind blows through each of our primaries and sends a very clear message to those who would do this nation harm (talking 'bout elected officials).

Amen!

It is not a sad farewell. His arrogance showed when he said he didn't want his career to be decided by the voters, so he switched parties assuming they would elect him.

I say "Mr. Spector, the people of Pennsylvania elected you (hired you) to work for US. Who else would decide whether you keep getting to do this job?"

I pray this is a lesson to others!

I remember Mr. Specter from way back when I was living outside of Philly in Jersey. Oh I wish I could come to the blog meetup...you are going to have so much fun. Say hi to all for me and take and post lots and lots of photos. I assume it will be a trip and lunch at the gardens. Right now we have no plans to go up for the summer as my son will be coming down here but maybe the Fall. Oh and I am so happy to be back to blogging again. I missed you and everyone.

...and may you enjoy your retirement. May this be just the beginning of the cleansing breeze. May God bless the people of your state with great wisdom!

Goodbye indeed! Hopefully this is the beginning of good things to come in our government! I couldn't help but smile when I watched the news last night.

Smiles,
