This Spring it has been a goal to get to Longwood Gardens
to see the wisteria. It has not worked out.
We have even driven through the parking lot only
to turn around and go home after
finding a large event happening.
I posted about that briefly.
In my quest to find something to put
on the front of our Mother's Day Bulletin this week,
I came across this photo given to my Mom from Jeff Bean,
who was on the trip she and my Dad took to Europe.
I don't know where in Europe this was but
the fact that it is wisteria and hanging
on an archway like this was amazing to me.
This was precisely what we were looking
forward to seeing at Longwood.
Most of the people at church
know about our attempts to see the wisteria.
They will enjoy the inside joke.
More importantly, it will have special
meaning to Mom...
So, this is our bulletin cover for Mother's Day:
May the love of a Mother
for her children be sweet...
Like the scent of delicate wisteria
...warmed by Spring Sunshine.
Happy Mother's Day

I have wanted to go to see the wisteria too, but I think I will miss it this year. We are planning a trip in two weeks! I know that there will be something beautiful in bloom!
