Did You See...

...the story about military gun scopes that have Scripture references on them?

Did you know that the manufacturer has agreed to stop putting them on?

Did you also know that they are making retro/patch kits to "fix" the many
offensive scopes already in the field?

Boy does this make me scratch my head...
What are they afraid of?

One would have to have access to a Bible or
computer to figure out what those even stand
for...that would mean one would have to look
it up...that makes it an act of intention.

One would have to want to know....

A willing action.

Why would they be worried?
Unless they are concerned that
someone might come to the Lord...

What happened to "In GOD we trust"?

Separation of Church and State is so
misunderstood. Not unintentionally
I sometimes think!

Boy does this tell me how far
down the wrong road we have come!

You can read about it here...
Note what Gen. Petraeus had to say.

Keep going for a feel-good, happy
post about our dogs....
Something for most here today! lol

I hadn't heard about this, Becky.

Yes, we read this in the morning paper...very interesting and, as Brit Hume said last week in an interview, only the name of Jesus Christ wreaks such havoc. Only His name...not Buddha's, not Mohammed's, not whoever's. It's as if the demons of hell leap at the very mention of His mighty name. One can get pretty excited about it thinking of it in that way. They'll never, never be able to stamp His name or His word out.

Becky, this concerns me as does many of the things I read today. Sad, sad, sad!

Thanks for your wonderful comment to me about the fireplace. You made me smile. You have an eye for beauty.....far MORE than you know!

It is so ridiculous and extremely sad that a nation that was founded on Biblical principles is now so quick to denounce God and Christ and to tuck our tails and run because someone else is offended, but they don't seem to care if they offend us. It bothers me that a company that has used scripture on products for two decades is so quick to fold in weakness instead of standing strong for the Lord.

Dave came home today and he was talking about this at dinner. Like you said it would have to take extra actions on behalf of the person seeing the scripture. Shaking my head.

This just galls me. Stand up for Jesus! Why are 'we' so worried about offending others in the name of Jesus? There is no other country in the world that takes this attitude! Where's our spine, where's our courage, where's our faith?

Love your little buddies!
