Unexpected Day and Exhaustion

Early this morning the phone rang.

It was my mother-in-law, Georgia.
She was in serious pain.
It seemed another bowel obstruction
was upon her.

I went next door intending to put her
in my car and take her in to the ER.

I knew right away this was not going
to be the best mode of transportation.
She was too sick.
We have done this many times over the
past couple of years. I have always
driven her in but this seemed more
intense and serious than any of the
others.

Unfortunately our local ambulance
was on another call so we had to
wait for another town's ambulance
to arrive.

Finally they got her on the way to
the hospital and I followed.

What we already knew was confirmed
after a couple hours of waiting at the
hospital and poor Georgia is enduring
the treatment for this.

I say enduring because it is extremely
uncomfortable and will take days...if
she does not need surgery....again.

Please pray with us for Georgia.
Life has certainly not been rosy for
her the past few years with the illness
and loss of her husband, love of her life,
and then these repeated struggles.

Thanks!

Awww, your poor mother-in-law. It does seem that life becomes increasingly challenging the longer one lives. I used to think that older folks were weak, but now I think of them as strong. The Lord is very near...

Am praying even now for her complete restoration.
