Beautiful Spring Flowers and More...
We had to do it.
We went to Longwood Gardens
again yesterday with
some friends and Georgia.
I apologize that I show
so many flower photos from
Longwood Gardens.
You can click on the pictures
to see the flowers full screen.
It is worth the effort.
They were beyond beautiful.
We had to go again.
The gardens teased us two weeks ago
when everything was just about
to burst open...but not quite there.
Well...check it out now!
"Working kitties"
They keep the mouse population down.
Our kids and my mom have a competition
each time we go to see who can spot the most
cats.
Wisteria Bonsai
Such a glorious day...sigh...
This meets goals on a few levels...
Walking is great exercise, of which I
need much,
Time with my children during these teen
years is very well spent,
Investing time in friendships and
our relationship with my mother-in-law,
the kids with their Grandmothers is precious,
I gather many ideas for our own gardens,
and...
Mikey learns much toward his life's goals
in working in horticulture.
There were new
wonderful wooden sculptures in
the Idea Garden...

Those photos are just beautiful. Living in Australia, we're obviously in opposite seasons and I've so enjoyed seeing your beautiful spring-y loveliness while wearing my thickest socks and cableknit jumper (or sweater I think you'd call it??).
so many beautiful pics and flowers
I enjoyed my visit here today, thanks!

I would love to visit Longwood Gardens again --- it's been nearly 40 years since I was there. It's such a beautiful place!

I am so glad you got to go...the weather was so stunningly beautiful that day that Sarah kept asking ALL day "please can we go to Longwood Gardens?" We had other obligations, but we are going soon!
Trust you are feeling better today...
