Answering Questions and Favorite Things

Yesterday Jacquelynne asked about
some of our favorite Restaurants in
Lancaster County. By the way, at
Jacquelynne's blog, The Noble Wife,
you can see the beautiful quiltwork
and creativity that are normal parts
of Jacquelynne's days.
She does great work!

I'll break our favorites down by family member...

Warren: Red Lobster on Route 30
near the K Mart - We know one of
the managers there, although, she never
seems to be working when we are there.
This restaurant is run so well. The
service has always been superb.

Becky: Hershey Farms for a smorgasboard.
The Pittsburgh Salad at Willow Valley Family
Restaurant. We rarely get the smorgasboard
there. We love sitting up in the upper
dining room and having this salad or sometimes
Chelsea enjoys the Fried Chicken.

Chelsea: Always Good and Plenty. I think it
is funny that this shy girl chooses a family
style dinner. But, this is her very favorite
place.

Jonathan: Ruby Tuesday at Rockvale Square.
This was his choice for his eighteenth birthday
dinner. He loves the Colossal Burger...I love a chicken
entree that involves cheese, barbecue sauce and bacon.
We can't go there too often...it is not healthy.
Of course there are healthy choices, I am just telling
you our favorites.
Right now if you go between 3:30 and 5:30pm
it is buy one, get one free from the entree menu.
Good deal!

Mikey: It is all about Pizza for him. He loves
Pasquales on Route 340. I love their Chicken
Parmesan. We are always happy when we are at this
restaurant. The decor is interesting and the food
is great.

The other thing Jacquelynne wanted to know was the
location of The Restaurant Store. That is its real
name. It is part of the Clark Food Service which has
stores in Allentown, Philadelphia and Lancaster. Other
places also, I believe. The store here is on Route 340,
we call it Old Philadelphia Pike, and is called
The Restaurant Store. It is in the area near Smoketown.
We found the sales clerks to be extremely knowledgable and
helpful. We were delighted with the variety of selection
of anything having to do with kitchens, paper goods, and
even bulk foods.

Another thing that has happened involving another blogger
is an award from sweet Ronda.

Ronda writes A Peachy Keen
Life.
This is an interesting title given that this sweet
woman struggles often from her extreme arthritis (RA).
However, she trusts the Lord for the pain and situations
that arise in her home and family.
She shares from the heart and also
happens to be an excellent photographer
with a great eye for nature shots.
Thanks for this award Ronda.
I have become one of
those people who will gratefully
accept awards but offer them
up for the taking to all readers,
rather than playing by the rules.

And so, I must move on.
There are blogs I wish to read
before the kids are up and I
must get some cleaning done today.

We have Book Club this evening.
I am so anxious to hear what the
others thought about our book this
month, The Glass Castle.

Have a great day! I feel so blessed
that you spend a portion of your day
here. Hope you like the new Spring
look.

Becky,
Your words are most kind. You are so very sweet and generous with your compliments, and yet I wonder if you are truly aware just what an inspiration you really are to us/others.

Please know that you are still in my prayers daily.

Love & Prayers,
Ronda

I DO like your new look for spring. Very cute!

We used to have a Clark Food Service store about 45 minutes away but it closed. I wish I knew of another place like it nearby because it really is a great place to find things.

PA keeps sounding better and better to me... ;-)

It was fun to read about everyone's favorite place to eat.
I like the picture in your header. It's from Longwood Garden's isn't it? That sounds like such a great place, maybe i'll get to visit some day!

You are right, Melissa, it is at Longwood.

When we were there a couple of weeks ago the leaves were beginning to come out on the roses in these archways. I love how graceful they are in bloom!

I love the new Spring look! It's nice and bright. Also, there is a Restaurant Store in Reading as well. My friend Angie and I saw it yesterday as we decided to explore that area again this month.
