The Quiet

The rush of Christmas has passed us by.
I am attempting to remember what day it is.
All of the commotion and doing things out
of the ordinary have a way of messing with
one's internal calendar.

Yesterday we were blessed again to see
Voices of Christmas at Living Waters
Theatre. It is the smaller of Sight and Sound's
Theatres. This has to be my very favorite of all
of the shows Sight and Sound has developed.

The talent of the cast, the costuming and the
stories told are the perfect combination.

Tears flowed freely for more than one in our
group. History is shared of Christmas
traditions over the centuries. It is all done
in a very beautiful way...well, enough raving.
But, seriously...I LOVE IT!

Then there was the trip to the mall on the
evening after Christmas. I don't usually do this....
but this year I was hoping to cash in on some
after Christmas sales on jeans for Mikey and
Chelsea. Jonathan's are in the mail.
You saw Mikey's jeans in that last post.
He is so active....

So...I thought it would be worth it to go out
and find them. I guess it was...we got some
great deals...but it was sooooo crowded that we
all left a bit cranky...just keeping it real!

This morning finds us back to the routine of
taking Mikey to work and now spending time
with my blog friends before I get back to
making candles and cleaning. It is so quiet
here while everyone else sleeps. I think I
will share some time with my Creator too.
He welcomes me any time....busy or quiet.
It is nice to have someone like that.
He is never cranky.
He is never missing.
Always there...waiting...ready...

So, I am going to move some of the
Praise Songs to the top of my Playlist
and spend a little time with them and the Word.

Have a great day!

Blessings!

You would never know the economy is suffering the way the crowds are everywhere!

Have a great day, and thanks for the tickets, they enjoyed it although I would say it wasn't their favorite like it is yours - Emily said "they never finished a whole song!" :)

Miss Emily...If they had finished each song we would have been there for many hours. There is a lot of music in that show.

I love the costuming, the drum piece, the bell choir piece, the Hallelujah Chorus, the other live musical instruments and pieces.

The fact that this cast can do up to three shows a day astounds me.

We get a kick out of the fact that one of the set pieces in the radio scene came from our garage. It is always funny to see it there.

Warren loves the dog in the show, Precious. She loves him too. When she was in training on the big stage she would always want to come and see him if he was working out there.

I talked to one of the head costumers at the premiere and she told me that they have an amazing amount of costume changes in this show. Much velcro...but you would never know it.

Anyway...I think I look at the show through technical eyes too. That happens when your spouse works there...((smile)).

Still...All in all...a wonderful show any way you slice it!

I loved Sarah's open mouthed stare. She seemed a bit overwhelmed at times.

I am following your peace... but due to a colitis attack, not because of any wonderful thing like a show!
