Progressive Dinner

We are planning a progressive dinner
for New Year's Eve. It should be fun.

The first course will be a garden salad
and pretzel salad in house number one.

Then to house number two for vegetable soup
and chili.

House number three will offer bbq sandwiches
and corned beef sandwiches.

The final stop is dessert. A birthday cake
for my mother-in-law, Georgia.

Our group did this once before but our family
was unable to attend due to a stomach bug.
We are very hopeful that this will not be
the case this year. It is worrisome though
that there is plenty of that going around.
We are holding our breath that it will pass by.

What are your plans for New Year's Eve?

Hi Becky!
I haven't been to a progressive dinner in years! Your post stirred up memories about the first progressive dinner I attended when I was a teenager. What fun it was!
Smiles,
Carol

Sounds like fun!

We are planning to do.... I don't know. For the first time, we don't have some kind of party plans!

Hi, Becky! So glad to catch up with you at last and see you're enjoying a wonderful holiday! A progressive dinner is something I've not been to in many, many years--they are fun! We're just back from our Christmas trip and getting over the jet lag and settling in...ringing in 2009 will be quiet here-LOL! Wishing you & yours love & joy in the New Year!((HUGS))

Progressive dinners are so much fun!!! I hope you have a blast!!!

For our new years we are spending the night over at my parents and having others over. My mom is making her homemade lasagna!! And then on New Years morning Ryan makes everyone omlettes....he is a pro at them if I dont say so myself!!

Sounds like you and I have some yummy food happenings!!

Oh I wanted to ask....which part of the progression are you doing? Or will you just be the guest?

These are the things you are never sorry that you did. Getting to spend time visiting with good friends and eating great food--what more can you ask for? Drive safely, and have fun!

Pictures! Don't forget pictures so we can share your fun. :D

Alicia,
I am making corned beef sandwiches and a large birthday cake. The sandwiches will go to My Mom's house. The cake to Warren's Mom's. We haven't
decided yet if the party will end there or here... Since it is just a matter of walking across the yard we may end up here...
Your plans sound great too.

Now doesn't this sound like great fun! Hope that you all have a wonderful time...I must keep this in my little plan book so I might copy you next year.

A happy New Year to you and yours!

(I'm really enjoying your playlist; I think that I'll pop it out.)
