Good Grief - Busy Days!

O.k. I want to post a very long post about
our day yesterday...but can't. Life is just
too busy right now. We have our Ladies Tea to
decorate for, and I have a boatload of candles
to be made for delivery tomorrow....

So, what I will do instead is show you
the beauty of Longwood Gardens as we captured
it last evening.

While you are perusing these photos I will
be scurrying about helping Mrs. Rabe set
up our Ladies Tea for this evening.
I can't wait!
This is going to be so much fun!

I will get to meet a new blog friend, Tracy!!!

So excited!

Yesterday, sitting in church I decided that
it would be so neat to have a beautiful live
tree in white lights with the names of Jesus
on it... I know...setting up
a tree on the actual day of the event is
most likely crazy...but oh so much fun!

So...I am off...

Enjoy...

Our tree will not be this big..tee-hee!
Wow! This was massive!
It is in the conservatory. I don't know
how high the ceilings are, but it is huge!

The lilies were so "perfumy".
But it was worth the allergies to get
to enjoy their crisp whiteness contrasted
with the reds of the poinsettia.

Love the lighting on the trees.
Such a simple thing that makes
such a difference in the
perception of the scenery!

Cranberries!
It looks like a carpet...
but it is jillions of individual
cranberries floating there!
Lovely!

Ahh... the wood!
The bookcases!

The tree!
The staircase through a doorway!

Simply stunning room!
A rest for the eyes after
all the splashes of color
up until now...

I love this tree...
so natural...so sweet.

So many light strings!
It must have taken weeks to
get all of this ready.

Enjoy your day...
I'll be back tomorrow to report
on the Ladies Tea....
