Weekend full of Fellowship

It is such a blessing to enjoy
sweet fellowship with friends.

Friday evening some of us met
at the church for a time of
conversation, a video and snacks.

Kelly, B, and I worked on a church
schedule and directory.

I got a few cute shots.

Miss Paula, these are for you.

Wishing you were here...

L. seems to clean wherever she is. I am not sure if she was asked to do this or if she just felt the need. The Plexiglas was just installed in the doors to the office and nursery this week.

Wow! This room looks bright in the pictures.
It doesn't come across quite this bright in real life.

We have a walk in safe that we use for storage of cleaning
supplies and things like that. It has been a fascination
to the kids. I always figure it would be the place to be
in the case of a tornado.

Check out the thickness of the door.
It is heavy!

Saturday was spent in preparations for Sunday.

We had a wonderful service.

Mike picked a lot of my favorite music.

It was a very good morning.

Sunday School was interesting and we are beginning
to get into the "meat" of our Apologetics Class.

We had the "gang" over to our place last night.
It has been a while. Others have been joining in
hosting of our Sunday night get togethers...

Much fun was had by the guys on Mikey's new
dirt bike. They rode all around and then some
went up to watch Mikey jump on the trails he
and a neighbor boy have built...on their property.

Thank you, Ellen and Jim!

I have a couple of pictures that Mikey took of
Pastor Mike riding the dirt bike.
Fun!

And Little Chloe trying to get me to see that she
wanted some food...

That is the only time she hangs out at her crate.
We usually make her sleep in it...but she prefers
our beds.
She had gone on a long walk with the guys and had a hungry tummy.

We spent the evening chatting, watching Hurricane Gustav draw closer to the coast, threatening friends and family there. We shared in sweet fellowship as we discussed the direction of the church. A computer was brought out for the opportunity to watch a YouTube clip of Evel Knievel's testimony months before he died. Pastor Mike had used Mr. Knievel as an example in Sunday School. He was someone to whom the light of the gospel came late in his life, but the change was dramatic. Denny had seen this clip and shared it with us.

The evening drew to a close with many girls squeezing onto the sofa
for a picture...

Chelsea got some wonderful pictures of Kyle.
I bet she will post them later today.

Have a great Labor Day.

Keep our friends on the Gulf Coast in prayer.

Blessings,

Becky K.

It was very fun, but I was so tired when I got home last night! Sorry we were there so late! Time just zips by!

Mrs. Rabe,

It was a wonderful evening. I just love our times of thinking ahead for the church and love to hear what others are thinking.

Chelsea has her pics of Kyle up now. He is absolutely adorable!
