I remember...the shock,
I remember...the fear,
Fear that the nuclear power plants
could be next.
Fear of any number of potential
events to come.
I remember those lost,
I remember their loved ones,
Loved ones whose lives will
never be the same.
Loved ones who have had to
move on.
I remember the pride,
I remember the strength,
Strength shown by a country whose
leaders stood up.
Strength of a legacy of independent spirit
and Faith.
Do you remember today?

I totally remember this day Becky. I was in high school getting ready for school and waiting for my carpool to pick me up, my mom called me to the living room to watch. So devastating. At first I had no idea what had happened then we all began worrying about my cousin and her boyfriend who lived right there, and all of these families whose lives were torn apart by this act. At school we watched it on the tv's over and over again. A moment in history that we all witnessed. It was a day I will never forget.
Have you read the Karen Kingsbury books that are about 9/11? I think one of them is One Tuesday Morning, and the other, Beyond Tuesday Morning. Soooo good.
Your blog is bee-yew-tee-ful! I love the header pic.
Hey Daisy,
I have not read these books...but I love Karen Kingsbury so I'll look for them next time I go to the Library.
Thanks for the compliment on the blog. I appreciate it!
Alicia,
How are you, my dear? Are you seeing a Dr. for your swelling?
Thanks for sharing your memories.
What a day that was!
