The ice is mostly in the trees and on sidewalks.
The roads are, in most cases, just wet.
There are power outages just to our north.
These could be problematic for the rest
of the morning but temperatures are expected
to go up into the 40's so that should
take care of the ice.
Flooding could be a bigger problem
later. So much snow to melt with
frozen storm drains in places.
However......for us.....

For once, living this far south and east has worked
in our favor.
Until now it seemed
Until now it seemed
that we got the worst of every storm
that came through.
Our friends even five miles to the north
would wonder at my hesitation to leave
if there was a threat of bad weather.
They just didn't understand.....

My thoughts and prayers are with those who remain in
the storm's path.

I'm so glad it missed us! I'm quite tried of winter. I hope the groundhog is right!
We have some branches down, but that seems to be the worst of it!
I know you're all relieved, Becky! We dodged it, too. Just west of us in the DFW area, they got the ICE. We just got the high winds & teen temps. Thank goodness! This has certainly been a wild winter!
I'm glad that you're out of harm's way by some quirk of geography. Perfect! And especially so if you've been in storm alley so often.
Glad you didn't get a big storm. 40s will feel like a spring day!
Smiles,
Carol
Not us, we got 20 inches of snow! Even the mail wasn't delivered!
