Lilies and Hydrangea

Things are getting busy at Hospitality Lane.
Lots to do before Chelsea's 15th Birthday Party
on Sunday.....

The menu is:

Hamburgers
Hot Dogs
Chicken Tenders
Sausage...all done on the grill

Pasta Salad
Potato Salad

Baked Beans
Corn on the Cob

Watermelon
Canteloupe
Cake

We have invited more
than fifty people.
We'll see how many of them
show up. Of course, Sunday
is the Fourth of July so that
may impact the attendance somewhat.

Last evening as the sun was dropping
lower in the sky it was setting off
the flowers in the front flower beds
so beautifully.....

These are more of the lilies I bought
as a fundraiser
just after Easter last year.
It is fun to have them blooming now.

We have two hydrangea shrubs.
Mine is pink
while Mikey's is blue.

There is so much that needs
to be done in the flower beds.
The weather got so hot so early
and then stayed hot that I am
way behind.

Thankfully, after today the weather
is supposed to improve and we will
get out there and get it done.

But for today, we are off to order the cake,
purchase pretty paper plates, let the
kids bowl, and then I have a dentist appointment
to finish a crown and place a small filling.

So....no lack of things to do!

I hope your day is amazing!

I need to get in our gardens, too, and pull the weeds! The weather here is supposed to be drier and cooler; seems like a good opportunity to do what needs to be done outside!

Oh WOW I didn't realize that our girls were that close in age!! Hannah's birthday is today. We will be having an outing to Border's Book Store, out to lunch then back home then tonight will be hamburgers and ice cream cake then her sister is taking her to a movie and doing her hair tomorrow. Tell Chelsae Happy Birthday! Hope she has a great day. I have several books for you. Can I come by tomorrow evening around 5:30 and drop them off? Hannah does Volunteer work at the Library from 5:30 till 8. I have been reading your blog everyday and you are in my prayers.

Happy birthday to the Birthday Girl!

Your flowers are lovely - great pictures, Becky - I love evening shots when the sun kind of casts a golden glow on everything! And lilies are my favorite fragrance! Just love 'em!

Ya'll have a wonderful birthday/holiday weekend!

You sound pretty perky for a gal heading for the dentist. :D

That menu sounds great. I think you'll have about 150 people there!

From what I understand, the nice temperatures will only be here for the next three days. Saturday is supposed to start high temperatures again, so work fast. lol

I need to weed too, but when the weather is near 100, I just don't have the motivation. Your flowers are beautiful. I hope Chelsea has a wonderful birthday. I loved the blueberry picking photos too.
Blessings,
Marcia
