Saturday was a ridiculously
hot and humid day.
Warren had just returned home
from a business trip and was
pressure washing the deck.
I knew that he would appreciate
some lemonade and set about
mixing it up. I like to use the
frozen store brand and then add
my own lemon slices as garnish.
Well, I did start with a simple
intention...and then I walked
outside and noticed the little
table moved so he could clean.
That made me think that a fabric
cover and flowers would make a
lovely little vignette.
And then I could take pictures
for the blog.
Hmmm....now I know that my family
probably wonders if I was really
thinking of Warren first...but I
truly was. Really!
Anyway, I got it all set up and
began taking pictures.
It was
so hot and humid that the lens
steamed up from coming out from
the air conditioning.
That made for some interesting
photos, I thought.
One thing led to the next and I
walked next door to see if
Georgia wanted to come over for
a cool glass of lemonade.
She did.
Poor Georgia was exhausted after
spending the entire day volunteering
in the gardens of
a local historical society.
They are blessed to have her
time and attention.
It was fun to sit and chat.
Georgia enjoyed hearing about
Warren's adventures in Las Vegas.
Linking up to Outdoor Wednesday.
Our hostess, Susan, is showing
adventures with an alligator in her town.
I will be checking out other Outdoor Wednesday
Posts...hope you will too.

You set a nice table at which to sit and drink a refreshing glass of lemonade with Warren and your friend.
What a lovely table, and that lemonade looks so refreshing! It makes me want to linger in your garden.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday, Becky!

Sheila

Lemonade on a hot summer's day--just about the most perfect thing! Your table-setting is delightful, Becky-this looks like something on card or in a magazine! Due to some family matters, I will be needing to take an unexpected break for some days, which I will posting about today. Happy Days((HUGS))
You took a very simple thing and turned it into a great post for today. I am sure your hubby and friend appreciate you on this hot day.
Just beautiful Becky! I bet that lemonade was delicious.

I LOVE lemonade! And what a sweet and thoughtful way to serve it up - not only for Warren but your neighbor! I know she appreciated it, too.
I'm sorry about your grandmother, but I'm thankful to know that she is in heaven with our Lord. What a wonderful way to go! Love what you said about her "marching orders"!
Ha! Never waste a good moment to blog. I have actually done similar things and slapped people's hands for touching the food or the drink. Not really, but verbally. Yup, it's all about the blog. ;>
Beautiful mosaic! Love the flowers and the pitcher.
Great table, simple and nice. Bring summer on! I'm refreshed!

How refreshing and beautiful for you all!
Hahaha, sometimes I take pictures just so I can scrapbook them.
Gorgeous play with colors and a lovely setting. The misty lens gives your photos a naturally frosted look! Your interuptions didn't interfere with your capturing the essence of the day!
What a beautifully inviting table on a hot humid day! You captured it so well.
I'm tryin' to visit some blogs tonight, I've been too sick to blog and am missin' my blogsisters.
God bless and have a glorious day!!!
Those pictures are amazing. You are going to have me blowing fog on my lens to get that aura effect... Hugs again.
Oh, Becky ...I am sorry to learn of Grandmother leaving this earth, but how blessed she is now ... all our prayers & hugs to you all.
That lemonade looks so inviting ... your pics are wonderful ... the table so inviting.
Tell Warren Happy Father's Day ...
Hugs, Marydon
I think lemonade is just about the most soothing thing to drink on a hot day. Your table looks so pretty, and boy that lemonade looks refreshing.
Blessings,
Marcia
I love lemonade on a hot summer day. I made 3 gallons of it for a birthday party last weekend.
I love the steamy cool lemonade shots! And what a clever idea--use canned lemonade, but add lemon slices. Ah, the importance of presentation! And your gingham round table skirt and coordinating flower colors--delightful!
