The Marketing Blues....

I took some time yesterday to
play with the camera and took
a few photos to update the Candle
web site.

This is fun when I have a
day like yesterday with lots
of time. Not so much fun when
I am trying to design labels or
take pictures under pressure.

This is a mulberry spice candle
that I made for myself after
pouring one for a customer.

No label.
No point as I will simply
wash the jar with soap and
water and refill with....
who knows what.
I just love that about
soy. No sticky,
irritating mess
to deal with.
Really!

Maybe I'll fill it
with this Country Garden.
It is lovely in blue.
So soothing....
We'll see what I am working
with when this is done.

I changed up the background on the
candle web site which then necessitated
a change in header.

So a Mosaic it is....
so much fun ~ that site at
Big Huge Labs.
Here are the header and a
film strip I made.

I am linking to Mary's Mosaic Monday.
and Smiling Sally's Blue Monday.

In answer to a comment from Sally -
who said that our snow looks cold...
It IS Cold!!!!
I'm packing Georgia into a plane
and sending her to the warmth
and sunshine of
Florida today.

Becky, I am in awe of you. I would love to start my own business, but the very prospect fills me with dread! I am sooo not a business kinda gal. Good for you for going ahead and doing it! May the Lord bless your efforts and your business♥

WONDERFUL photos, Becky! And your site looks terrific too! It can be a big challenge bringing it all together for a small home business and doing all the work one's self! The business-y stuff gets me all the time...LOL! Thank goodness all the creative aspects balance it all out! Wishing much success and fun with your candle business this year. Happy Week :o) Oh, and many thanks for your lovely comment. I've lately started a foodie blog, maybe your Chelsea would like to take a look there now and then for cooking ideas. :o) ((HUGS))

I'll have to pop over to the candle site to check it out! I haven't burned the citrus yet...saving it for a few more weeks, when I will be dying for spring/summer to come!

Come on down, Becky! Although today it's too chilly here in Tampa at 45ยบ right now! However, there is sunshine and a promise of warming up to come. Happy Blue Monday.

Hi Becky - howzabout we ship Florida up to Georgia! That way you don't have to go anywhere!

Your candles are so pretty. I've never tried soy candles before. I'll have to give them a try! I have to admire you for your business sense and starting your own. I've wanted to do that before, but just can't seem to gain the confidence needed to do it and invest the time and money. Good luck with that! I think you're doing great!

No such thing as too many candles - we lose power often enough that I keep candles and matches in every room, just in case. Yours are lovely!

Your candles look so pretty in the mosaic. I hear more snow is headed up your way so take it easy and stay inside and have some hot chocolate and eat some cookies by the fire. Stay off the roads...now I sound like a mother:)
