Comfy Date...

As we approach our twenty-first anniversary
next month, Warren and I continue to like
each other pretty well. (Smile)

Last evening as the snow fell we decided to
take a chance on a quick date at a restaurant
close to home. It was safe enough to feel
comfortable doing it but risky enough to
add a sense of adventure.

We arrived at The Quarryville Family Restaurant
where it is often hard to find a seat. Last
evening we got the best seat in the house.

In the front window.

We watched the snow fall and the cars go by
while we ate breakfast for dinner.

It was funny how we both
ordered the same thing.
That has been happening
more and more, of late.
I found out that it is
not by accident.
Warren said I just
have a knack of ordering
well so he has been copying me.
We laughed about that.

I love that man!!!

I decided that the best way to get around
last night would be to travel by way of
horse and buggy. They looked like they were
speeding compared to the four wheeled vehicles
that crept by.

It does concern me, though, how
vulnerable the buggies are
to being hit by cars
and trucks if one would
slide into them while
trying to pass.

Unfortunately, it happens...too often!

As we ate, a neighbor couple came in.
She told us that the roads were getting
very dangerous. We all agreed that it was
good we didn't have far to go.

It looks as if we are going to be staying
home today and likely tomorrow as we are
to experience blizzard conditions.

The media is prepping us with phone numbers
for the power companies in expectation that
many will lose power. It could happen.

Fortunately we have plenty of candles...
lol.

Stay safe, wherever you may be.
Know that I appreciate each and every
reader. You make it so much fun to
write every day!

Oh Becky Sweetie...
Congrats on the upcoming anniversary, and isn't it sweet how they finally come to realize we do know BEST. How many years did it take your Warren to come to that realization? It took my Tony
(35) we just celebrated in January.

What a romantic way to celebrate the end of a beautiful day. Isn't it wonderful to still go out on dates? I love going to dinner and taking our time, no children left at home, and if on a whim we want to go somewhere else after dinner, we can do that, no extra babysitting fees. In our older ages, we have taken the time to smell the roses together, and take a few side roads along the way. It is still fun to laugh isn't it?

I can just see you two in the window seat, having breakfast for supper (I love that meal too) and watching all the cars go by, the snow fall, and enjoying each others company. Thank you sweetie for sharing this beautiful moment in time with me today.

Please stay warm, and safe out there. Sounds like you will be bunkered down for a few days. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Country hugs sweetie..>Sherry

Sounds great!

Chelsea and my girls are having a lot of fun...I love how they enjoy each other and drama free these girls are! They are all easy to be around! They use their drama skills for making movies!

I tried to call Liza several times yesterday while they were at the bowling alley with you all. Her phone was on vibrate. One of the things I wanted to tell her was to ask you to stop at my house. I have several candle containers to re-fill. For some reason I thought you would be stuck at home for a couple of days and would have time to "do" candles. Enjoy the snow. - Belinda

Congratulations on your anniversary, AND continuing to like one another!

My husband always wants to know what I'm ordering because IF he orders something different he always wishes he had ordered the same as me.

G'morn, Becky ~ What a romantic sweet evening ... enchanting snow, good food, romance in the air.

I find after 49 years it is interesting how many things we DO do that are alike ... I guess I rubbed off on him well, chuckle!

Did I write to you about our 'blog lady gathering for Sherry' in April. If not, my email is ~ blushing_rose_boutique@yahoo.com

We are whammied with over 40" of that glorious snow ... lovin' it!

Happy Valentine's
Have a great week!
Hugs, Marydon

T and I are slightly housebound ourselves, the snow is taller than Ms. Lady!

As for the ordering thing, T hasn't learned that yet... he inevitably eats what I order because he says it's better than his, LOL

Happy Anniversary and glad you were able to get out to celebrate. Yes horse and buggy is kinda scary in the snow with the cars. Now I know you have more candles then anyone should your electric be disrupted. Stay warm and safe and stay in and snuggle. My Son sent photos and his porch looks like your porch and he is still shoveling as it is still snowing he said. YIKEES!

Congrats on 21 years! In today's world that is rare and I believe it says something about the love and commitment you two have for each other. Blessings, Debbie
