Using the Outdoors as a Photo Prop

I am joining Susan
Outdoor Wednesday.

This has been the first truly amazing week
when it comes to the weather that
we have had this Spring.
Sure there has been a day here or there
that hinted at great things
to come but to have a string of
sunny days in a row is just wonderful!!

Lately I have taken to stepping out the back
door to the deck for photos of candle
products.  This is all well and good
except that the backgrounds have
gotten kind of similar and
predictable.

So today I mixed it up.
Adding an arrangement from the
house and moving the little table to
a better location.
One that allowed good light
without bleaching out the soft
pink of these candles.

It was fun.
I am really getting into the
photography side of what I do.

This was the second attempt to photograph
these this afternoon.
The first ones were no good at all.
So, I am learning ....so much.

I am sure that one day I will look
back at these and cringe.
But for now
with my little
Canon
point and shoot,
 the natural dappled sunlight
and the green of the
grass and leaves....
I'm content.

Nice photos! I love the second one! It really sets the candles off and shows how lovely and romantically they can be used.

The outdoor light makes everything so much more colorful. I love my Cannon Point and Shoot camera and use it often.

Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

Becky K. Your photos are great and I like your candles with the outdoor scene. I giggled at your point and shoot camera comment. I use a point and shoot too and I think YOU take beautiful photos.
I just like the convenience of the point and shoot size.
I love your setting with the candles. They look like they're ready for a party..so pretty
Thanks for your nice comment. It's nice meeting you.

Great photos! I need to explore taking photos outside too. I also have a Canon point and shoot. Sometimes I wish for a nicer camera but then don't want to bother learning the technical side.
Glad you are having some sunshine days!

You did a great job! Your vignette looks like a magazine. I have a new camera but haven't learned to use it yet... someday!
