Would You Like To Help?

Yesterday I read that my dear blog friend,
Theresa, was headed to help those devastated
by the recent tornadoes.
She lives close enough to get there
and help in a day.
I don't.

I felt a tug.
A small tug but I told myself
there was really nothing that I knew to do.

This morning that changed.

Rhoda, at Southern Hospitality, has posted information
today about specific, and easy, things we can do to
help those whose lives were so impacted.

She has a guest post by
which details two ways we can get
involved.  Not hard at all.
And something within most of our budgets.

I sent baby food.

Just a couple of clicks and
taking care to order enough to get
free shipping
through the Amazon Wish List
from a local relief organization in
Birmingham.

If you are so led
I would invite you to check it out.
I know that things are tight for all of us....
I really do.
But I couldn't just sit by do nothing
once I knew what to do.
If everyone does just a little bit.....
great impact is given.

Yes, it is easy to help, isn't it?

Can you imagine coming up from your basement where an EF-5 tornado just devastated your whole neighborhood? Wow!

Thanks for passing on the link.

Thank you so much for posting this and helping! It was a rewarding day even though we didn't get to help "hands on"! We did take lots of food and paper products that made us feel good! Every kind act is appreciated! There is so much devastation around, especially in Alabama! Thanks again for you sweet words and kindness! Have a blessed weekend dear Becky, HUGS!

I am happy you posted this! I am committed to other projects but will pass this along as well. There are so many of us and as Mother Teresa said we can help one person at a time. Have a blessed Mothers Day and wonderful weekend. Anne

Thank you for passing this information along, Becky. Sounds like a good practical thing that can be quickly and easily done. (What's that below? I see my name... hmmm...)

BTW, I don't visit Mrs. Rabe too often, but I'd like to say that her new profile picture is terrific.
