A New Hobby

As if I needed one, right?

As I get to know Etsy I find that
one way to get to know others and
get to be known is to create what
are called Treasuries.  This is where you
decide on a theme and then go hunting
for photos of items in Etsy shops to
fit that theme.

Pink Bird in a Tree by BINAGEYER  $24

 You are called the
curator.

My first Treasury was called
So much fun.
You know how I love pottery.
I have checked back on some of
my favorites here and they are sold.
I can understand why.
Gorgeous!

Then I did this one...

Teahen in Spiced Cream and Vintage Blue - MeltinMudd Studio $6.00

I remember going through my
Mom's and Grandma's button jars.
So interesting to see all of the variety
and imagine what kind of clothing they
had come from.

Giraffe Note Card - WatercolorsNmore $3.50

 was fun and challenging.
Trying to get the colors and styles to blend
without looking all matchy-matchy.
I am such a dish-a-holic.
If we hadn't run out of space I would
be so very tempted!

Finally, my very favorite Treasury
to date....
I took items from my favorite shops
and sellers in my circle.
I am so happy with how this one
turned out.
It really reflects my tastes
and the things I love.

Love Song Necklace - kgarnerdesigns $29.00

Learning about Etsy is interesting.
It is definitely not just a place
to open a store and
then the people will just flock there....
but is there really such a place anywhere?
I don't think so.
Anything worth doing takes work...
it just so happens that this work is
fun at the same time!

For more information on anything
I showed just click on the picture
In the Treasury!

Have a happy day!

Okay, I'll do that. Though, I have to tell you, I stay as far away as possible from most things like this because I have to keep my wallet closed so much. (And especially after the latest purchase.) Glad that you're having fun and learning new things...

You found some beautiful things. I love Etsy. I've never made a treasury though. I always thought it was too hard! LOL
