In The Quiet...

With the love of my life sleeping just
a few feet away and the light of morning
filtering through soft cotton shades I find
myself with time to reflect and contemplate
all that God is doing in our lives.

The room I chose at this B&B is a pale
blue with white accents.  A bit feminine
says Warren, but just so soothing and
beautiful...says me.  It happens to be the
room that gets the most morning sun and
I do sooo love mornings!

We are just a block and a half from the
beach so while we cannot see it from the
window we know it is there.  It is an easy
walk and we both are in much need of
walks....this weekend has been great for that.

I am sitting in a blue and white comfy chair
which has been a lovely place to read.  I was
successful in getting Warren hooked on a book
I recently finished.  It is by Terry Blackstock and
is called Last Light.  A fictional story about a
world where all electricity and micro chips
are down.  Bringing the world to its knees.
Seeing the best and the worst in people.
I just knew he would love it if he gave it a
chance....Sure enough!

One cannot be sure what our own future
holds, as it relates to security of money,
home or even our lives.  But, we know the
One who does know.  We are striving to
be obedient to Him.  We are not perfect.
But He is faithful.  I know that with Him
all things are truly possible and that all will
come out well in the end.
He wins!!

Today we will miss our church family
and come home to our nuclear family.
It is odd, but good, to be away.
We probably don't do this as often
as we should but I treasure it more this way.

The folks at the Inn where we are
staying have been wonderful.
Each morning they serve a gourmet
breakfast. Yesterday's
breakfast came with interesting conversations.
The other guests here are very intriguing.
I wonder who we will meet today....

Tomorrow, I will post photos of our
blue room for Blue Monday.
I couldn't miss that opportunity.
There is a sweet chandelier in here too
that I am going to attempt to photograph.

So thankful..............
for all of God's blessings in our lives.
Our heritage, our Moms, our kids, our church.
So good.

A beautiful post Becky ~ I'm so glad to hear you've taken a well-deserved time out from your oh-so-busy schedules. Morning light, walks to the beach, and small talk with hubby is a great way to be restored. xo
