The Bonfire....

With all of the windy weather
we have had
we were overwhelmed
with sticks and twigs.

Mikey and Warren went out to see
if it was still enough to burn
last evening.
They must have checked
during the calm before the
storm.
Shortly after lighting the fire
a storm front blew through.
It got very windy.
We were very nervous!

Chloe enjoyed being held all snug
and warm by our friend Mindy.

The sky was very interesting.
I love that blue-gray color
and the sun streaming out from under
the clouds.

The group as they looked when I headed out.  Soon they were tossing a frisbee.
A place in our neighbor's back yard.  Look at the green grass!

The smell of a fire makes me hungry... marshmellows and hot dogs:) Happy that you got your twigs burned and stayed safe from the wind!

The SKY is beautiful! I love ALL skies! Beauty is all around us!

Have a blessed day dear Becky! HUGS!

Good Morning Becky Sweetie...
I am right there with Theresa this morning. Give me a wire hanger and a dog, and I would have been right out there with the guys. They can watch the fire and I would fix me a little lunch. Smores for desert did someone say?

Chloe looks sweet all bundled up and cozy warm. Isn't her little face just precious.

Hope you are all well sweet friend. Have a glorious week. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

We don't get to do these fun things anymore. No burn permits are allowed in our community. I so remember springs when everyone burned leaves, twigs, and even the thatched lawns because they'd come back so green. Besides a bonfire is just good fun. Any roasting of hotdogs or marshmallows going on?

Only Bon fires here are at the beach and only certain ones with fire pits!

Good morning Becky! I'm so jealous of your bonfire! We have been under burn bans around here in East Texas cuz we're so behind on rain and the wind this spring has been 20-30 mph nearly every day for the last few weeks. We have limbs and leaves and twigs piled up everywhere waiting on a good day to burn!

Miss Chloe looks toasty with her face sticking out there - they want to be included, don't they? But they want to be snug as a bug, too! Her face looks so similar to my Bug's face - just a different color!

I hope you have a fantastic week, Becky!
