Roosters 2010

As I mentioned earlier this week

It is so much fun to visit and see how
everyone displays their roosters and
all of the variations on this theme.

During last year's rooster party
I was the blessed winner
of Cindy's Rooster Plate Giveaway
I thought I would show them to you
again...in the form of a mosaic.

In April of this year Mom, Chelsea and I
went to Winterthur to see the Azaleas.
After walking through the amazing Azalea Woods

we went up to the museum and I was
thrilled to find this
Garden Rooster.
He appeared to be
made of cement.
A heavy guy, I am sure!
He was under a huge glass cloche so I didn't
get to check that out.
But this was the last photo I took
at Winterthur that day because my
camera battery went dead just then.
At least it held out that long.

Do you know what is under the bread?

This rooster platter was a gift from my dear friend, Bee.
She writes at Busy Bee Trail.
I love this platter for its beauty
and for the friend connection
that brought
it to me!

There are plenty of opportunities to purchase
Roosters in Lancaster County.
We know our Country Decor!

I just had to take pictures to share!

It is fun to anticipate this Rooster Party as the
year progresses.
I took quite a few Rooster photos as we went.
It is fun to share some of them with you.

Have a fun tour...
Thanks for stopping by
Hospitality Lane!!!!

I do hope you will
come back soon!

You have such wonderful pictures of roosters! I don't believe I have even one rooster in my house, although I have taken pictures of roosters (real ones!) over the years.

Oh, I love your rooster collection and the way you have displayed them. I used to live in Princeton, New Jersey and I often took a ride into Lancaster County. We were married in New Hope in 1987. Such a beautiful area, and there must be wonderful shops to find new roosters.

Good Morning Becky Sweetie...
Oh my goodness gracious. Do you ever have a rooster collection. I love everything. Your plates are so devine, what a wonderful thing to win during a rooster celebration. I love them.

Now your platter is beautiful, but sweetie I have got to tell you that bread looks so heavenly. Yuuummmy. I will be right over. Yes, I am a sucker for fresh home made bread.

A beautiful share sweetie. I pray you are well. I think of you each time I open my candle jars. No, I can't bring myself to burn them, then I wouldn't have you in the house anymore. I just open the lids, smell them, smile and think of the wonderful friend who carried them to me, and shut the lid tightly.

Have a beautiful Friday sweetie. Please know that you are so loved by a friend in Arizona. Country Wings.

Sending many hugs and much love, Sherry

I actually don't own a rooster in any shape or form, but I have been eyeing them lately. I think the biggest reason was that the primary colors weren't quite fitting my more muted color scheme. I must be moving into a new phase.

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Becky, I really liked this post. The azaleas are unbelievably beautiful. Oh, and great roosters too. ;-) LOL

I actually just love the last two pictured. Something about the high gloss that I just love.

I hope you have had a super rooster weekend so far,
Susan

Hello Becky, the azaleas remind me of when we lived in the great state of GA. We were in a home that had plants that were 25 years old and looked very much like these when they bloomed. What a beautiful site they were each spring. Oh how I miss them and think of them each year, along with the dogwoods. Your roosters are all eye candy and I love your blog. I think I will look for the follow button and see what you are up to each week, Char

THANKYOU Becky, Kirstin is doing much better now. Valley Fever can be found in AZ, CA and I believe New Mexico. It comes from spores in the soil and is a fungus that grows in the lung or lungs. More than likely she will have to take an antifungal medicine for about a year. It never goes away, but lays dormant. Char
