My dear friend, Shelley is visiting.
We are chatting up a storm but a sign
of our "old age" is that we had given up
the late night chatting before midnight.
Gone are the days of giggling until
early morning hours.

The Tower at Longwood Gardens |
Another sign...how often the word menopause
enters the conversation....
At last there is someone
who doesn't complain
that I must have
the air conditioning
at full blast!
Gotta love her!!!

It does the heart good to see my dear friend.
Literally. The laughter is great medicine.
Stresses of the past weeks melt away when you
have adventure after adventure. That is what
happens when we get together. Last evening it
was a call to Warren when the car oil warning
came on only to have him think I was someone else
and explain to me where I was....I kept yelling,
"Warren, This....is....Your....Wife!!!!!"
He has taken the kids to a weekend concert
event and it was sooooo loud.
Finally we communicated.
Oh, did we laugh!!!
A very good thing, indeed.

Dreamy.... |
Last evening we saw Joseph
at Sight and Sound Theatre.
As soon as it was over Shelley said,
"Can we see that again?"
I'm telling you, it is that good!
But it is sold out today so we will go
and see Psalms of David. I love this
show as well. Shelley will too.
I guarantee it.
I also guarantee that we will have many
laughs in the process.
Therapy.
Friend therapy...that's what is happening
at Hospitality Lane this weekend.

Ahhhh.....so much green |
Try to laugh this weekend.
With someone or just at yourself.
Sometimes it is the best stress buster.
Not that you or I would have any stress....wink!

What fun you two will have/and are having! I might still be tempted to try the wee hours of the morning...not sure.
Funny how things change - as you said, as we get older, the late night midnight chats must end earlier! But, the laughs continue with good friends!
Enjoy... it does so much good for the soul... Hugs.
G'day Becky ~ So glad you two are having the time of your life. Enjoy ...
Have a beautiful PS summer weekend.

It sounds like you and Shelly are having the best of times. Enjoy rest of your weekend!
Enjoy, I'm supposed to get together with a childhood friend this week, and it's been a while...I am really looking forward to it...Your photos are lovely.
LOVELY post, Becky! And I always love a glimpse of Longwood. ;o) There was a lot of stress busting at our place this past weekend--sunny days, grilling on the patio, creative conversation... and this was just hubby & I! Happy Days ((HUGS))
