Floaters! We've Got Floaters!

Sunday right after church we had to say goodbye.
Grandma Ruth, Grandma Georgia, Chelsea and Jonathan took off for the North.
They were off to visit with my brother and sister-in-law and then to spend a day on a lake with some very dear family friends. Now, I have to tell you that this is a much anticipated outing. Chelsea starts talking about it as soon as the weather gets warm. She so loves the couple that host them and the time on and in the water.

I could never do this!  Oh my imagination would go wild.  What is under all of this water?  What about the fact that my feet could not reach the bottom.  Oh, my.  However, they had a blast.  And then there is Chelsea's absolutely favorite part.....

That is she.
Miss Chelsea.
Pulled on this "donut" for a very long way.
This is where Chelsea and I differ.
She is adventurous!
Loves rollercoasters and everything!
Shudder.

Now we come to my favorite photo of Jonathan.  Look at that absolute joy and contentment on his face.
Could he have found his calling?  As a boat captain??  Even he couldn't manage a "who cares" look for the camera this time.  Makes me crazy how all expression just leaves him when he sees a camera pointing his way!  Way to go, Mom! Great shot!

Grandma Ruth with Chelsea.
Looks like they are happy,
don't you think?

Hmmm, makes me wonder what he is thinking about.
Could it be the next chapter in his book?
Perhaps there will be a scene from a lake???
Did you want to read from Chapter Two?
He just might be agreeable to me posting it if you ask.

Well, that is the overview of the day on the lake.  But I wanted to show you the host gift Chelsea put together for our friends, George and Sheila.
It is some of her soon to be famous Peanut Butter Brownie Biscotti.
We'll be having a giveaway of some Biscotti soon.

Credit for all of the photos on this post go to Mom and Chelsea.

Have a wonderful day!

The water shots - I can almost smell the warmth and water in the photos - very nice! I'm like you - I would rather feel sandy bottom beneath my feet than "nothing" - I like to float, but love assurance that I can stand up quickly if I need to!!!

I know that Chelsea can smile, but I didn't know, until now, that Jonathan can, too. What a nice, enigmatic one it is, too. Does he ever reveal what he is thinking?

There's nothing, and I mean nothing, like time spent at the lake. Some of my fondest memories are of such things.

(If this is the third or fourth comment, please put the extras in the circular file...computer troubles again.)

With the hot weather we have been having looks so refreshing...but I couldn't do it either, Becky, Swim at the lake that is, I can't swim...:-( I had very little opportunity to go swimming through the years...so I never learned how...But they sure like they are enjoying themselves...

Reminds me of the fun we had in Canada!

That water looks so refreshing. I'm not much of a water person. On hot days, though, a dip in the lake would sure cool things off a bit! Where "up north" is the lake?

Ahh, that looks like a great day out on the lake. Chelsea sure looks a lot like her grandma. That is such a cute shot:)

Looks like Jonathan and Chelsea really had a great time, and the Grandmas too! Makes me want to get away to the mountains, sigh. Maybe next year.

Looks like Chelsea and Lizzie have a lot in common what with being adventurous and daring. Other things too.
