An Excellent Helpful Hint!

I doubt you'll need this info today...
but then I didn't know that I would either.

Did you know that to take "tape sticky"
off hard surfaces you can mix up a paste
of baking soda and water?  Rubbing this
onto the sticky residue will gently scour it
off without a big mess!

LOVE IT!!!

Another discovery today....
This was on the kitchen counter.

It has been in process for a while...
baked and partially put together but
time and space has not allowed Chelsea
to get back and finish it.

Last night she and Jonathan stayed up
with every intention of watching the lunar
eclipse and worked on this together.

I don't know if they watched the eclipse,
or not, as they are still sleeping.
But, I do know that they made this
very cute gingerbread house
which looks even better in person.

Gotta run!
Hugs,

The children in this home have been staying up far later than the parents lately, too. We slip off to bed while they remain full of life in the kitchen and living room, singing, playing games, and enjoying one another. With Mac home from college the entire house changes.

I love Chelsea's house, and I'm guessing that Jonathan enjoyed helping, too.

Great tip, and no, I didn't know that before. I'll be trying it next time I have a sticky issue.

Cute gingerbread house! If they're still sleeping, I think you're going to hear a lunar eclipse story.

thanks for the sticky remedy!
the gingerbread house is awesome
and staying up late is overrated, unless you're under 30. wink.

I remembered the eclipse, for once, but couldn't justify trying to stay up with the many too-short nights lately.

LOVE the gingerbread house! They did a great job on it and I bet they had a lot of fun together.

I've always wanted to make a gingerbread house. I'm putting it on my list of things to do with Ethan & Emma (baby's name!) when they're older.

Smiles,
Carol

We stayed up and watched until almost 3 am! It was science!

The gingerbread house is cute! I didn't stay up to watch the eclipse. However, I did wake up twice during the night at the time that the eclipse would have been happening. It was too cloudy here to see anything.

Thanks for the tape suggestion. They did a super job on the little Gingerbread House. I forgot about the eclipse.
