A Blue Monday Post
to be joined up with the Smiling Sally Blog.
So much blue.....so much fun!!
What fun I had today with a Bride, Groom,
Mother of the Bride and two friends of theirs.
Mother of the Bride and two friends of theirs.
Several months ago I consulted with
Michael and Christina about their
upcoming wedding.
Michael and Christina about their
upcoming wedding.
They were excited to be able to get their
Unity Candle, Stem Candles for their table and
Unity Candle, Stem Candles for their table and
a punch cup candle favor for each
of their 150 guests.
Not only that but they
of their 150 guests.
Not only that but they
were very particular
about their color choices.
You see, the groom is a huge sports fan
about their color choices.
You see, the groom is a huge sports fan
and a particular blue, white and silver
had to be their colors.
had to be their colors.
Now this was a challenge I was happy to take on .
Within days of our meeting I was happily shopping for
ribbon, punch cups and the perfect Unity Candle Glassware.
Here are a few photos of what their candles look like at this point.
Some of the ribbon we are using for the tags and on the unity candle. |
Mikasa Stems for their table. |
A punch cup with one of the tags we made today. The Mother of the Bride is one of my dear friends. She knew how crazy things have been around here and volunteered to come and help make up the labels. I wasn't at all convinced this was necessary... but I am so glad we did it this way. Having the couple here working together toward their big day and taking photos of the progress was so much fun. It was a very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. I could seriously get hooked on doing weddings if I am not careful! In fact, I have just added a wedding page on the candle website. It is HERE. Smiles on your day. Hope you do something that just blesses your heart. Becky K. |

These turned out lovely! What a great keepsake, and the color is just beautiful...
You are SO busy, how do you do it all? Your wedding project looks beautiful and creative. Enjoy. Blessings, Susy
You loved it? Why be careful? Perhaps the Lord is leading you to something that you love. Perhaps this color blue started out on a helmet or something, but it sure is pretty in those candles and ribbons!
You know, I never would have thought of coordinating the candles like this in a wedding... but what an absolutely marvelous idea! I think your idea of putting a wedding page up on your site is a wonderful one. Surely there are others who would have never thought of doing special candles for their wedding- you might be sparking something new here! way to go Becky!
Those are soooo PRETTY, Becky...that blue is wonderful! Wedding candles... there you go, a whole new marketplace to reach for--go for it! :o) Happy Week ((HUGS))
What a great idea for a favor. I love that shade of blue.
Happy Blue Monday, Becky! Check out my book giveaway.

The candles are lovely and would be a great addition to any wedding. They were certainly a perfect choice for Blue Monday. I hope you have a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary
The candles are just lovely!
I'm so not into football, though, that I have no idea what team the groom is a fan of. I know the Lions colors are blue and silver?/white? but surely no one outside of the metro Detroit area is actually a fan of the Lions...lol
Very pretty, Becky!
Weddings are such fun! It will be a year, later this month, that our youngest son was married to the love of his life (and ours). The blue is just beautiful. And thanks for the heartwarming story of precious Zeb. It made my day.
Best,
Bonnie
Beautiful candles. I love candles, especially at weddings!
I'd say they are Penn State Fans?!
The blue is so pretty in the punch cups! It will add so much the the ambiance of their wedding!
