We were in the mountains for my birthday.
It was a wonderful day that involved relaxation,
reading, ice cream and family.
It did not, however, involve a birthday cake.
Chelsea promised to take care of that when
we returned home.
She kept her promise!
A lemon-blueberry cake.
I'm going to have the first piece for breakfast
tomorrow! Hey, It's my birthday!
Well, it was my birthday!

Oh golly - it was your birthday and I missed it... :o( Sweet birthday blessings to you, dear friend. Your cake is gorgeous - almost too pretty to eat. I said **almost**! I wouldn't have waited for breakfast though - I'd have found a reason for a midnight snack. Tell Chelsea she's an amazing baker!!!

What a lovely cake. We make a lemon cake that looks like that one, but your decorations on the cake are just the right touch for that one also.

We have a little tradition here. The birthday person gets to have a piece of cake for breakfast the day after their birthday. It extends the celebration a little, AND makes everyone else VERY jealous!
