It has Not Been an Easy Week

From my Mother-in-law's garden....

So much has happened,
here at Hospitality Lane
and in the homes of several of our friends.

We have two young friends in the hospital right now and one is in surgery as I write.
Your prayers for Josh would be appreciated as he has a surgery on his lung.  He and our boys are very close.

Jonathan had a root canal yesterday after suffering terrible pain for the past several weeks.
He dislikes the dentist so much that I only heard about it last Friday when he had not slept for five days.  Poor guy.
When he finally got pain meds he kept falling asleep, wherever he was. Sometimes on the sofa...once on the living room floor where he had been playing with the dogs.
He was just that tired.

Chelsea's appointment with her new doctor was interesting including the fact that she passed out in the middle of it.  That was scary!
I think we like the new doctor, who specializes in eating disorders,  but will have to see more of her to decide for sure.  Chelsea has been working so hard to get well.  I am very proud of her.  She has another goal that is inspiring her.  I cannot reveal it yet but maybe soon.  Yesterday was devastating as that was dream was challenged and remains unsure.  I'll just say that this is a time of learning how to cope with uncertainty, the possibility of crushed dreams and frustration.
In the meantime she has an interview this morning with a bakery.
This gives her a "Plan B" in case "Plan A" fall through.
Sometimes none of the things that we think we have figured out are the plans the Lord has in store for us.  We are working together to remember that this is what we want.
HIS WILL.

I will not post often next week as we enjoy some time together as a family.
My question for you is would you rather I just leave you with pretty pictures or should I bring back some former posts?
I am not good at Blog Breaks so we will see how long I can stay away...
I plan to post through Sunday and then hit or miss for a week or so.

Enjoy your time with the family, Becky! You might recall when I took a break from blogging (while in Hawaii) I uploaded a post that said I had "gone fishing". I was gone more than 2 weeks.

My precious friend ...

Don't be concerned with what type posts to share in your absence. Just go. Go, and care for your family. We'll be here when you get back, knowing you'll have fresh perspective after a bit of time.
I'm praying.

in Him,
jAne

Omigosh...things sound pretty stressful in your corner. Glad that your son finally spoke up...may this be a lesson to him to face things head on instead of going the denial route. Denial never works. Not ever.

Chelsea...God love her. I'm praying for her to respond and recover day by day. It must've been scary for both of you to have her pass out that way, but what a good place to do it, if one must.

Take care, enjoy your family, I can paw through your archives when I start to miss you or go light one of your amazing candles. Gentle hugs and love...

Hi friend. Take time off and spend with the family. You all need each other more than we need to hear from you. You know what I mean I hope. I am still praying for you all. Love you guys.

I say leave us with pictures. It will be a silent but beautiful reminder for us to pray for you and your family. You're a special lady Becky. Abundant blessings to you, Susy D.

Just go and don't blog....you only need to relax with the family, girl.

I can't wait to hear how Chelsea's interview went! :)

Go, enjoy, don't worry about blogging (says the terribly irregular blogger). Scheduling posts for while you are gone is just one more thing on the to-do list and can be easily eliminated.

Chelsea is fine now?

You know you all remain in our prayers. Love you!

It seems when it rains, it pours. I hate to hear so much is going at the same time. Take a break. We all need to do that once in awhile. We will miss you, and look forward to your return. May you and family be richly blessed with better things to come.

I'm so sorry to hear about both young friends in the hospital, along with Jonathan and his root canal. I know that is miserable.
Loved the beautiful photos of your girls. I'll be praying for Chelsea, along with Jonathan and Josh.
I've been kind of absent from blog land this week as we just started back to school. Our week went well though.
Blessings,
Marcia

Sorry to hear things have been rough for you. Praying for you.
I love to hear how you in spite of all that's going on in your life come back to the TRUTH of Christ and following His will.

I haven't posted much lately either. There's stuff going on that i don't feel comfortable blogging about so i've just been silent.

Enjoy your long weekend! =)
