The Suit Had to Be Blue!

Jonathan is a huge Dr. Who fan.
Not just any Doctor.
Has to be David Tennant!

This photo borrowed from Google Photo Galleries.

So, when he knew he needed a
suit for his Senior Formal
he knew it had to be blue
with a red tie and red Converse!

Works for me...
Now I can link it up with Sally's
Blue Monday Blog Party.

Don't you just love this look?
He does!
And really that is all that matters.

Off to JC Penney we went.
I love shopping for Men's Suits there.
The salespeople can look at the guys and
set them up very quickly.
No, I am not being paid to say that.
Although that would be nice...

So blue suit, red tie and red converse in hand
Warren helped Jonathan get dressed for his
big night.

Then there was Mikey.
He wanted to wear a tux.
No sense in renting one because he
has another event this Friday...
so back to JC Penney we went.

Thankfully they were having a big
sale. Still didn't make it cheap,
but more economical than two rentals.

Now the boys have nice dressy clothes.
No excuses for weddings and church!

Mikey did not want me taking his picture while
he was getting dressed!
Can you tell?
Too funny, that boy.

But once they were ready we headed
to the back yard for some
photos.

A few interesting "moves".

Little sister had to get in a photo.
She is watching and learning
from their Senior Year....

Headed out with the wrist corsage.
Nearly forgot that as it was in
the fridge.

I love Jonathan's big smile.
He was very happy.

His date, Danielle, is a very sweet girl
that he has known for about nine years.
She is artsy and fun... just like him.

I don't know many other girls who would
have been so sweet about the red converse!

She, on the other hand was wishing she
could wear a pair too.

I didn't get to take any photos of Mikey and Emily...

Emily's mother sent me one though.

They are so cute!

We are so thankful that our children have
chosen their friends well.
Makes it easier when they are out
and about with them to know that they
are a very good group!

Have a great Monday.
Tomorrow I will share about
our Blog Meet in Maryland.
Hint: It was very nice....

OOoooohh how cute! My girls are big Dr. Who fans as well. In fact Louisa has created a knitting pattern for what she calls her "third Dr. Who hat"... it has a little knitted sprig of celery on the roll, lol (not exactly certain what significance the celery has, but I imagine your boys might know!)

Oh, and about the converse sneakers... Amelia is going to be maid of honor in a wedding this summer, and the bride is wearing bright blue converse with her wedding gown! Can you believe it? A completely formal wedding and strapless trained gown with high tops? And I bet she'll look adorable too♥

Have a wonderful Monday dear!

First - Love the blogs new look, very cute.

Second - Awww... I made your side bar thank you sweet cousin :)

Third - Since I feel chucks are totally acceptable in any circumstance I heartily agree with his choice. Both boys look fantastic :D Well done mama.

Such cute photos. I trust that they had a good time. And you were very wise to buy rather than rent!

Three beautiful children, Becky--inside and out--of course you're thanking God. Happy Blue Monday.

What great kids you have Becky! A great looking bunch of kids and dates! I know they had a blast - love the converse - I like individuality! A young friend of mine got married a couple of years ago and wore her Fat-Baby boots - hot pink! Another got married and all the wedding party wore matching flip-flops with foo-foo stuff on them! Let's hear it for the kids having FUN!!!

Thanks for visiting Linderhof.

There are a lot of "Dutch" in Kansas -- so hence the coleslaw (although the restaurant touts it as PA Dutch!)

Loved your Blue Monday post!

I'm completely unfamiliar with Dr. Who but it's a great look.

I love how your boys each have their own style and the confidence to go with what they like.

Very nice pictures! Thanks for sharing!

Isn't it fun when the dudes get all cleaned up???

How fun!

Where did they go?

You know, they really grow up too soon or is it that we grow old too quickly. These are wonderful pictures. I can tell how proud you are of both of them. Hugs and blessings...Mary

Happy Blue Monday. Thanks for stopping by my post too. You mentioned the length of time on my "ivy"? My mom only gave me a cutting of it in recent years. Sometimes, I don't realize what's "not said" in a post. I did have some mother-in-law's tongues I had from the 70's but gave them away in 2003 when we thought we were going to RV the country. Speaking of sentimental, looks like you enjoyed the sentimentals of the prom and your boys. It is such a blessing when kids pick good friends. (I should've been so wise in my younger years.) Enjoyed the antics - even the photo that your one son didn't want to have taken. Just life. Enjoyed my visit. Thanks, Jenn.

They clean up so well! And the red Converse? I love that! He would have been a hit at the school I work at!

It is such a blessing when teens pick their friends well! Makes all the difference!

Good for your boys! And good for them momma and dad, who must have reared them up so well:)
