What a Weekend!!!

The Blue Monday Photos are at the bottom of this post...

Friday evening was a great candle
fundraiser show. I didn't have high
expectations since it rained very hard
all day on Friday. As I loaded the van
here I got drenched...unloading there it
was literally running down my face.

Soaked!

However we had a very nice turnout
with nice sales.

We are thankful.

Coming to Saturday...

Let us just say that Warren and I
spent much more time out of town on
Saturday than we expected to.

It was fun...I saw things like this

New construction.

A beautiful new home for dear friends.

I had to capture the rooster!
(Remembering our fun Rooster Party hosted
by Barb at Bella Vista)

We returned to our driveway at
1:59 am Sunday morning.
I had a lengthy list of things to
do for church today, including breakfast,
the bulletin, running through the music and
prepping for a picnic this afternoon right
after church. So after a few hours of sleep
the alarm sounded. Thankfully everything got
completed and all went well. Of course I had
the help of my sweet husband who gave up his
usual Sunday morning breakfast out with
one of the children to come
help me get the church breakfast set up.
The kids were working on the water balloon
project for the afternoon picnic and came
to the church in time for Sunday School.
I am still finding things to love about
having another driver in the house!

It was a fun day.
Perfect for a cookout with our
closest friends...and some new ones.

I had my cranky moments throughout
the day but I will be back in my
"happy place"...
very soon.
It is best not stay cranky too long.
No one benefits from it...
don't you agree?

To help with this process lets look at a few
more photos from our last week's trip
to Potter County, PA.
They call it "God's Country"...

At dusk one evening I walked to the
far end of the property to take some
photos of this little flower.

While it appeared lavender during the
day, these photos came out so blue that
I thought immediately of Sally's Blue Monday
Meme. So, here you have it...isn't it pretty?

Becky, Beautiful pictures! Your photography is looking very artistic and professional. I agree about staying cranky...the one who benefits from it the least is you. This looks like an awesome place. You will have to fill me in on the water balloon project...sounds like teenage fun to me.

Becky, I just a comment and it disappeared, so if you see two comments....anyway, what I said was that your photos are beautiful. They are artistic and looking very professional. I agree that being cranky does no one any good, but especially yourself. This place is just lovely, and water balloons? Sounds like teenage fun to me!

Oh lovely pictures!
And yes, Becky, Fall does have its beauty -- but I always look and think, "Uh oh ... winter's around the corner!" I am OK with the cold, but I don't like ICE, or short days.

You take gorgeous pictures!
