Right now is a great time to visit Missouri. The humidity hasn't been as high this year, for some reason.
Early Spring, until June and Fall are the best times to visit, for those who are bothered by humidity and of course winter.
Our son in law was born and raised in California and except for his years in the army, he lived there all his life, until he came to Missouri in 1995. He had a couple of really rough summers until he was acclimated to the humidity.
I understand how difficult it can be, for folks who live in a dryer climate. When I was young, I lived in Louisiana a few years. The first summer was terrible for me because the humidity was so much higher than here in Missouri. I became acclimated and did well, after that first summer.
Thanks for your visit on Wednesday. I'm playing catch up today after a much too BUSY week. Love this bridge and the surrounding shrubs with just a hint of lavender. Chloe reminds me of a dog I had decades ago who was equally curious. I don't know if you've met my lab, Molly ... but she's featured at Small Reflections and Sacred Ruminations today. Hugs and blessings,

All of your mountain pictures are so evocative. Absolutely lovely. I envy you and your family the great time you had. We have no mountains in Florida.
It's great to be able to take the time and enjoy someone else discovering things....
