August Note Card Party

Red, White and Black

****
Not my typical choices.
I'm more of a pastel and romantic girl.
However, in an effort to come up with a theme
these are what I found.
Enjoy......
A rose my daughter bought me for her birthday.....Had to blog about that one.

A water lily captured after dark at Longwood Gardens.

During a recent trip to the Adirondacks of New York the red popped unexpectedly along the river bank.

A bit rough and wild this shasta daisy caught my eye in our front flower bed.

Thanks, Vee, for hosting this monthly party.
It is so inspiring to see what everyone comes up with.

Have a great day!

I really love them all, and that water lily is my very favorite of all. I have been driving by a pond with lily pads lately, and I keep wanting to stop and photograph it because it's so lovely.

The theme is great...didn't you find that this different for you color scheme really helped you unify the set? I love them all and there's something about Chelsea's gift of a rose against that rough bark that makes it my favorite, though the beauty of a perfect flower compared with the still beautiful, though not quite as perfect daisy is cool, too. And, of course, that pop of red in the cool greens is a delight. Okay, it's official, I like them all and will happily purchase the set. =D

Have to say, Becky - I loved them all, but the water lily was my favorite. Reminds me of Monet's paintings...THese would all make great cards!

And yes, silly, I do have pot plants (and I did get your joke!)and I'll bet you do, too!!! (Took me a minute, but it finally sank in! LOL)

Love these beautiful photos of our Creator's handiwork! (And I love the color scheme! I am a red and black kind of girl. Hmmm...wonder what that says about me?)

They are all beautiful. The water lily is so crisp and clear, it looks like I could reach out and touch it! You really should print and frame that one!

Becky,
Thanks for visiting. You are right. It WAS desolate. We were the only people for about 5 miles around. It was just me and my daughter at the ghost town, and I was kinda uneasy. It sure is not on the tourist path.

I love the daisy photo, because it is not a perfect flower, pollen scattered on the petals, a petal with a hole, very interesting. Also love the lily pad flower, that's my favorite flower in real life.
