Answering a question from the
previous post...
with a few photos.
In the comments from my
previous post Mrs. Rabe
asked if the tulips are
blooming at
Longwood Gardens....
Oh, some are.
They really are....
Many thanks to Susan,
at A Southern Daydreamer,
for the opportunity to share these photos.
Check out these double tulips.
One could almost think they
were peonies.
But they are definitely tulips.
The trees are loaded.
Amazingly, one that was
only opening two weeks ago
is fading already.
But others are at their peak.
More tulips.
A little creativity with
some hedges. Fun?
Really have to marvel at
the many brilliant colors.
My family had to see what it was looking
like at the top of these steps.
I figured I knew what they would find.
It is the stage area.
No real displays at the moment so
I wasn't going to follow.
However, they did not come back.
So...I decided to follow.
Smart, I know.
I am glad I did.
This tree that looked pretty
from a ways away...
was totally awesome up close.
So, if I were to give you any advice based
on my experience it would be to not take
things for granted. Enjoy the details.
Follow the lead of those you trust...
Laughing...
Ok, so that may all be corny and a bit
of a stretch....but you know what I mean.
Have an awesome day!
And please come back soon...

thanks for stopping by my blog last week-thought I would return the favor today and WOW! I love your longwood photos-that is one of my favorite places and I don't get there much anymore. We used to live close when my oldest was little, but now it's like once a year which isn't enough by a longshot. Looks like a great day!
Becky, I loved looking at your pictures. Beautiful! Also, thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I noticed that your favorite books are Eugenia Price books---I LOVED her books. The ones you mentioned are some of my favorites as well.
Oh Becky!
Now I really must go, maybe tomorrow!
Or this afternoon after Tim leaves for work...or maybe....well you get the idea!
All of the flowers are just beautiful. I wish they were in my yard. Every year I plan to plant some bulbs but never do....maybe this year I will. Thanks for sharing.
WOW! that white tree is spectacular!
and the fun hedge is...fun ;-)
Thanks so much for your visit this morning. I have been away for a bit and so sure I had been forgotten. Was happy to see 7 gals skipping by to dream with me.
Blogland is a wonderful place. Hope you enjoy your day cause you just made mine ;-)

Hi again Becky,
Thanks for popping over. In answer to your question about my smudgepots...I think some of that oil is at least 75 years old :)

Oh I always just love your pictures of the gardens. The tulips were just stunning. The red ones remind me of my mom. She always had a large round bed of them in her garden that bloomed so beautifully each year. I think I will do a post on it some time soon:)
