Quiet and Thoughtful Day

A photo of our Ollie
back in the day when
he was a frisky kitten rather than the
boss of the neighborhood he is today!

I am just hanging out and trying
to get all of the laundry done today
while the rest of the family is away
at an all day concert.

Quiet days like this are rare.
It is an awesome time for reflection.

I have to tell you that in these times
I cannot help but rejoice in the Love of God.
Pondering on the many ways he has
been our Provider and Keeper.

Sometimes we cut it close to
the edge, financially.
This month is one of those times.
However, God is providing and will
continue to do so.
I know this because He has never
failed us and He has promised that
He will meet our every need.

Now... our wants and needs are
often different
...but I know we
can rely on him.

Mikey's Passport and plane
tickets arrived yesterday.
His trip to El Salvador is
ever more real now, in my mind.

Mom will be with him and I know
this has the potential to be
life changing for a young man
who has never been out of this
wealthy country. Can you say
eye opening??? I'm thinkin'!

Well, the dryer just buzzed and
since I have committed myself to
getting to the bottom of the laundry
I should answer it.
So...I'm off.

But, before I go, I just want to
say that I'll be praying for those
of you that have asked for prayer.
The burdens you carry are great,
but our God is Greater!

Rejoice in His plan for your life.
Rest in confidence for each situation
that threatens to overwhelm you.
Peace and Joy are gifts from the
Heavenly Father...accept them today.
You'll be oh, so glad you did.

Love,
Photobucket

What a great post and your blog is so peaceful....love the soothing colors...This summer has been so crazy that I have not visited some of my favorite blogs often. I always enjoy stopping by yours. Have a Happy Sunday! I have a giveaway going through Monday morning.

Hi Becky,
I spend many hours alone in the eyes of others but knowing I am never alone, the Lord is always with me. Hope you enjoyed the solitude of thought, I loved the kitty picture.

Hi Becky, love your kitty picture! I love the way you write about your faith. I know you are an encouragement to many readers.

I have often wondered what people do that do not believe in our dear Father.

Hope your weekend was special.

Big smiles, Barb :-)

Your Ollie is positively adorable, but then I'm a bit of a sucker when it comes to fur balls that meow and love to lay in my lap :)
