Blues and More from a Sunday Drive

A Blue Monday Post as hosted by the
amazing Sally...

of the Smiling Sally Blog.
Sally is in the process of moving and getting
settled and yet she is a wonderful hostess here.
You will enjoy the many posts that feature
things of blue.

Days and days of rain paused
to allow the sun to shine revealing
beauty in a contrast between the
greens and the blues.

We cruised through the countryside
with my arm out the window...finger
cramping from holding onto the
camera so tightly...

Beautiful Lancaster County as we
saw it on Father's Day 2009.

A small town cemetery...

Want to sleep in a train car?
It can be the blue one!

It was so very pretty!

There was much laughter and fun in
our van as we took back road after back road.
Mom and Chelsea got into fits of laughter in the
back seats as Warren and I randomly chose roads to
investigate. The boys pretended to be sooo ready to
be home but I am pretty sure they were having fun too.

I will leave you with a mosaic of the skies from
Sunday...

For more mosaics please visit Mary at Little Red House.
To have even more fun...make a mosaic and join the party.

Have a crazy good week!!

Ooo, you had much prettier skies there, Becky! We had mostly overcast with only a peek of blue. :( But, at least it didn't rain till evening... thanks so much for sharing your lovely photos at Mosaic Monday. :)

I enjoyed the beautiful tour and the wonderful photos. I'm glad you held onto the camera tightly. I've dropped mine a couple of times. It didn't do it any good but it still works.
Happy Blue Monday.

these are so beautiful. It's been so long since I visited Lancaster. That was one of the areas I always said I would love to live in because of the small town feel. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for taking us on such a nice journey through the countryside. You caught the peaceful clouds against a bright blue sky, the nostalgia of another era in the train, the wonder of creation through the woods.

How fun to sleep in a caboose! I'd love to do that! I've been to PA many times but never Lancaster - We always went to Stroudsberg which I guess is the Poconos? Gorgeous pictures!
